    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
I know there are hundreds of threads with a million answers, but none address my wants.
So with that . . . Putting together my Christmas list for Santa. For my 2008 Access Cab.
I want to fight back when someone is next to me whether at the gas station, red light, Walmart parking lot, and inflicting their music choice on me. This is for when you get that annoying person playing todays Rap music, Cant stand it. I like Rap if its the original old school variety.
So I want to fight back and blast them with good old rock music, Led Zep, Floyd, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Bad Co, you get the picture.
I'm keeping my factory 6cd changer/radio but beyond that what should I put in. I do like a good dose of Bass.
Money is the big key here, I have very little of it. I know I have to spend to get what I want and am willing to do so but I don't have thousands to spend on this.
If I cant compete, which I know will be tough on my $. I want to turn my audio up so I cant hear theirs.
Lets see what you come up with.
    Thanks fellow music lovers.

You might get better luck if you posted here. The only advise I can give you is to look into sound deadening mat, depending on how handy you are with a wrench and panel puller, youll notice significant improvement in the stock system if you completely gut the interior of your vehicle, carpet and headliner, along with the door panels and stick that goopy sound mat down. It'll make the interior of your cab quieter and as an added bonus, it'll help with keeping the temperatures down.

I'm no expert so heres a googled place to look:

I'm not sure how much you'd need, you'd be best to ask in the AV forum I linked above. If you pair that mat along with a new set of speakers, you should be golden save completely rewiring for larger speaker wire and a powered pre-amp.

So what you are looking for is a SPL setup. These are designed to just be loud AF! Fortunately for you bass is typically the cheapest part of an audio build. Sure you can spend 800 on an awesome sub that will shake your house, but you also need a $1500 amp to power it, and an enclosure.

So what i suggest.... is you post your budget on what you would like to spend and let people go from there. Check out sonicelectronix.com, they have moderately priced items.

If i were you i would look for a dual 12" ported enclosure and set it on the seats. I would look for subs around the 250-300 watt RMS power range and you can find 1000w amps for decent prices. Buy between a 0-4 guage wire kit to install it. You will pay big bucks for someone else to install it so if you can do it yourself it will save you a lot of money and can throw your budget out the window.

Also you may realize that when you want it loud all you will probably hear is bass and not much of the rest of the sound spectrum. Meaning your door speakers are not going to be able to keep up with the sound of the subs, so you will probably want to get new door speakers down the road... i suggest only upgrading the front doors.

Sounds like you should get a public address system.

Also, if you can hear the music in the car next to you you'll have to crank your stereo stupid loud for them to hear it over theirs.

Instead of all the heavy rock music play some classical music at max volume. Most people will run away from it. That is what a lot of stores do to keep unwanted people from hanging around their stores. Opera works too.

Make sure to add an Audio Control Epicenter + one of their crossovers to allow proper full-range signal provided into the Epicenter - objectively listening, I've found that the majority of classic rock has its bass mostly removed, or still missing (still awaiting certain proper remasters or remixes). The Epicenter will put the bass back in and have it play in harmony with the next higher octaves. I can only imagine what it does for classical music!

For amps, check out Big D-Wiz Old School audio reviews on youtube. He's recently reviewed a bunch of offbrand amps which are are available these days which produce 1kW to 2kW (thats the minimum level of power needed for producing lots of bass for others to hear whether they want to or not). Majority of them being standard Korean reference design. Those amps might have a fake RMS rating of up to 4k watts, but when tested they still produce lots of real power for the asking price. He load tested maybe 10 of those in the past year. Its a great time to be a kid and into big bass car audio!
