Dayum, I could sell my place and buy that and be ahead in my pocket. Then, get my property taxes, then might have screwed myself.

Sold my ape 2 years ago and regretted it every day since. Found this on Craig’s and couldn’t resist so if anyone wants to go on a ride let me know. I’ll even entertain some Harley riders as long as they keep their hands to themselves :).

Saw a guy this morning on 80 using the shoulder to cut people off and he actually got pulled over. Gave the cop a thumbs up.

I live in Calistoga and my wife grew up in Angwin (the Seventh Day Adventist community in the hills above St Helena.) Angwin has changed a lot in the last 20 years. The community up there is now mostly non-adventists due to the fact it's one of the few places where real estate is not laughably outrageously priced in the Napa Valley. And by that I mean you can get a 1200 sq ft fixer upper for just under $600K.....

Pope Valley is also technically in Napa County, but it's a whole different beast out there. Lots of room to spread out, go hiking, shooting, stare at deer, the sky. There are no services over there. No gas, no grocery store, nada. You'll have to go over the hill into either St Helena or Calistoga for that, or if you're closer, into Middletown.

PM me if you want to talk more about the area. Good luck with the house hunt!

Yeah guess they finally got it dialed down. That what y’all wanna hear?

See y’all next time when we get a tornado warning except literally nothing happens but some heavy rain.. like usual.

Thats my thoughts, my house is valued at 304k. After loan i would clear 145k. 30k down and pump a escrow account for a few more years. Then out of California.

Plenty of it on this forum to go around, trust me.

California is well known for crying wolf when not needed.. thus our warning on anything and everything saying it causes cancer. You know, the thing everyone in the state now ignores because it’s useless? :D

One jab at a weather warning gets everyone up in arms it seems :muscleflexing:

for the record: I’m not downplaying disaster. I just feel like there’s a lot of things I dislike about CA. One of them being our false sense of urgency over anything and everything out of our ordinary sun and rainbows. Also, I’m tired of seeing people turn to idiots when driving on wet ground.

    non sequitur

The point is you were making fun of the weather predictions that were in fact valid.

    Good job though.

I refuse to get in to the accuracy of weather predictions with this forum lol

The fact y’all even rode that post that far and even followed up with it today because it ended up being valid, I’ll just leave this all here to die now.

A jab at a weather prediction that has a high tendency of being incorrect has a few of you up in arms.

    Sweet.

All of us Californians can go back to “freaking out” about the weather.

    Thanks stranger.

I’m not sure why your comments rubbed me the wrong way but they did.

Time for another beer I think.
