Looks like he was trying to cross and it was just too deep. I've seen a land cruiser go across that successfully and thats about it. That said I've only been to that spot 1 time. I sure as hell would not try to cross it in my own vehicle. Too deep and its just silt so you could sink/get stuck pretty easy.

The road ends at the river some people will ford it to get to the little beach area below the sheep bridge. Obviously risky without walking it first. After all the rain the verde is probably flowing really good right now making it a pretty bad decision

Not the @state48overland crew but looked like some atvs pulled him out and a truck was pulling back up the road. That's a long ass recovery to get back to civilization though

Looks like he is on the red x? When I saw the LC cross they used the green line I drew. Looks super deep at the moment.

Somewhere in that area based on this pic looks like he attempted that same line. Truck may have floated down with the current a bit to your X

Well the bay is all cleaned up so I can pull it right back in and gank the transmission out. Think the torque converter is bad. Thanks @DevilDocAZ for all your help today man!! Video of me driving will be coming up.

Hiking friends had a run in with what appears to be a pretty sizable black bear on pine mountain near Cordes Lakes today. Bear was chasing down a deer. Bummed cause if my ankle were good I would have 100% been there with them

I’m falling behind on doing stuff to my Taco now, the Civic has me distracted!!

I’m also free to be a little more fun oriented than trying to shoehorn it into a commuter.

The truck got nowhere near the x, was just way to deep and he still went for it 85DEA223-4856-401F-9385-7736476A2641.jpg 85DEA223-4856-401F-9385-7736476A2641.jpg

You got me, but what’s funny is originally I met one of the state 48 off-road guys a few weeks back and was supposed to attend this trip. That def sucks.
