Finally got my son to come fishing and he had a great time. New PB for largemouth Bass, first catfish and blue crab catches as well. Great day. We kept 3 catfish for dinner tonight and might go crabbing tomorrow for dinner.

Well this summer has been pretty good for me. Broke my personal best largemouth bass twice this year. Had a day where I caught 4 small mouth bass over 4lbs. Landed my personal best muskie. I haven't spent nearly as much time on the water as I would have liked to (but I say that every year).

This one went about 5.5 lbs

Is white perch good to eat? We catch a ton of small ones at our usual fishing spot.EB36AD66-42F0-4676-874C-433A47C2B9EE.jpg

Hell yeah, to me everything in the bluegill/crappie/white perch families are delicious. The small ones are hard to get large fillets off of but if you get a few they make a great meal. I like them fried personally.
