whats kind of stuff did you put in the mushrooms?

 

Put them in Italian dressing for about an hour then onto the grill

 

Hot and fast pulled pork. Went on about 1/2 hour ago. Baseball game lasted longer than expected. Kid won last two games to make the playoffs. So, more baseball...

Just after the initial rub. More went on before it hit the smoke.

we do a fall festival at church. one farm family provides the meat then people bring veggies taters and we cook it down. everyone brings bowls to take some home.it gets a nice kiss of smoke in it.

 

Well, I didn’t put enough charcoal in the wsm to maintain 325 for long enough. Had to pan it and finish in the oven for an hour or so. Only about 5 hours cook time total. Can’t tell the difference from doing a long smoke on it, other than bark and smoke ring. Flavor was excellent, and it’s plenty moist.

 

have you been using your flattop any?

 

my two boys played a ton of baseball all the way thru HS. both could have played low level college but didnt just went to college. oldest plays high level softball. they flew to Panama City FLA a few weeks ago. they have a sponser that kicks in a ton of money to their team.

This past weekend I went to the farmers market searching for a tri tip. The only place there that sells them was sold out. The lady sold me another piece of meat that was supposed to be close. I rubbed it down with On Point and set the Jim Bowie to 450degf. Pulled it at 120 and let it rest for about 20 minutes. I wish I could remember exactly what she called it, but this was an excellent piece of meat. Of course, the On Point is a big help.

 

New Challenge Coins arrived today for my FD... Sort of smoking related right?! Haha

 

No smoke probably no fire. So ya related.
