Just wondering what you guys have done to improve the sound of your 3rd gen Tacos.. anything from exhausts you recommend, maybe changing the air filter/CAI?
I know this thing isn't a sports car, but I wouldn't mind a bit more sound.

    Thanks!

The TRD Pro exhaust and intake will give you a bit more sound and growl, without being obnoxious.

Thanks for an honest answer, I figured there'd be some clowns who recommend "fart cans" or straight pipes

Gibson exhaust. Sounds great on this motor. Have one on mine. Videos don’t do exhausts justice. But if you’re in the northeast you can check mine out

As you read the many replies to this inquiry, just remember there are absolutely no documented performance gains made by the added noise. That said you can easily spend a $1000 on CIA (which it already has from the factory) and a modified exhaust system, let your wallet be your guide .

Very happy with my Borla cat-back exhaust soundwise, just saying. It's a little bit louder than the TRD exhaust from what I've read, but cannot vouch for that. The tone isn't horrible either, but again, all personal opinion.

Try to find folks in your area with different setups and listen to them in person if possible, even then they might vary slightly, but gives you a better idea of TRUE sound.

    You spoke too soon :D

Seriously, TRD exhaust and intake should do the trick. I have both and I would'n want this truck any noisier.
