The stache is the most fun bike I’ve ridden also. It rips.

I’ll have to look harder. Most of my go to places online don’t seem to have them.

I was curious how noticeable the weight is but I guess the Dhf plus isn’t much heavier than a regular DHF. I’m probably going to buy some today or tomorrow.

But yes I agree, the Stache is the most fun bike I’ve ridden

Meh, I don’t care about weight anymore. I used to ride a 20lb XC hardtail and it was light but not a fun bike to just have fun on. I wouldn’t trade weight savings for grip or comfort or badass tires like these

Biketiresdirect.com always has sales. I got some maxxis ramblers for my gravel bike at a fair price.

I'm just having trouble finding any 27.5 x 2.1 tires.

It depends on what you want. That looks like a decent entry level bike, but tires could make a huge difference in preformance. I would always run downhill tires on mine so I could hold better traction in berms, mud, and rocks.

    Check these out:
    https://www.chainreactioncycles.com...nHdctW1Yjxt5RqPUbU43rtnRfH21oFywaAijaEALw_wcB

It's a 27.5 x 2.3 which should fit your rim, and it will also give you a slightly wider, more aggressive tire.

    cheers bro

so how do you know if that .2 difference in width will affect it fitting? that's a super aggressive looking tire!

I know it's a real entry level bike, and I don't want to put much money into it, but it NEEDS tires and I don't know how long until I'll buy my next bike lol

I'm not guaranteeing it, but in my experience, I had a Giant Talon as my first real bike and it came with a set of maxxis ikons 2.2, I fit a maxxis DHR II 2.4 just fine with the stock tubes and all. as long as you're not trying to stuff a + tire on there, it will probably take a wide variety of tires. I wouldn’t worry about that .2 anyways since manufacturer's tire specs are all measured sort of differently.

ok good to know, I actually just found a video a guy put 2.3 on the same bike I have so they will fit!

now...do I bite the bullet and buy some 50$ maxxis tires...or get some Amazon Michelin or Continental tires?

It depends on a lot of different things. If you plan on upgrading to a better bike in the near future, maybe don't spend a lot on your current bike. Although if also depends on what kind of terrain you ride. If you’re not super serious about it, the maxxis might be overkill. If you're really serious about trying to stick with this bike as long as possible, I nice set of skins will be a must, along with other upgrades you might want to try such as different bars, stems, and forks.

    good luck

What's up everyone? Just discovered these various MTB threads and figured I'd ask around and see if there are any YT Industries riders on here. I rode a rigid (Raleigh Mojave) for years on trails in PA, but got away from riding a couple years living in CA, but since moving to CO and a recent trip to Moab I have to say I am back 110% having discovered the joy of full suspension & endless trail options. The bike I rode in Moab was a Salsa Horsethief, which was awesome, but after talking to a local bike shop, he really got me considering a YT Jeffsy. Seems like a great price for the running gear you are getting compared to a lot of the bigger companies. Just looking for anyone willing to share about their experiences w/ YT.
