I’m happy to not have push button start or other electronics to break.

When I ordered my 2017, M/T did not have automatic climate control - a deal breaker for me. My son has a 2019 M/T and loves it.

My 2016 M/T had dual climate control.

I'm just hoping I didn't miss the first run of the MT PRO trucks for my region. Probably end up waiting 3-4 months if that is the case.

I put my Deposit down around Thanksgiving 2016, after the initial contact of saying the Order was accepted into the system there was only an occasional call from the Dealer to say they hadn't heard anything. Around the end of February 2017 they called and said it was scheduled to go down the line in early March and they would have it on the lot about 3 weeks later, sure enough I was able to pick it up March 30th. If you can find what you want elsewhere and are willing to go get it then that works too, otherwise the wait is not really that bad and the Dealer should let you know something when the truck is getting ready to be built.

I would say any day is possible for you, as they notified me about a month prior to delivery

So I shouldn't be worried that they haven't given me actual dates yet?

Would be 5 out of every 100 but yes still frustrating. Anyone who wants an MT will have to wait look a little harder and figuratively and often literally go the extra mile. Well worth it in the long run though.

It may be a smaller niche buyer pool but there are significantly less options for them to go too. I think that if the manual is discontinued (I hope it's not) that the existing manuals will command a premium due to the finite stock around.

I guess that depends on how emphatic they were with the dates in the first place, how much you trust them, etc. If they were certain in your eyes, and they have your deposit, you are likely good. The guy I was dealing with didn’t instill a great deal of trust, so I dug until I got something tangible. Plus it seems like there are a bunch coming mid- to end-Oct/early Nov, so if you’re in that group, we’ll have new trucks within a week or two of each other.

In the end, up to you how much you want details. Never hurts to ask, I think.

They proactively texted me the date range about a day after they told me they put the allocation in, so I was good with that (10-26 to 11-10). And I did give them a $500 deposit. They are an enormous volume Toyota dealer in CT, and have a good reputation. They even sent me the allocation sheet with my exact options. Its just that inside a month of the front of that delivery range, I feel I need to check in with them because I have nothing firm - plus I start getting obsessive as I've got a plan for delivery, trade in, mods, etc. Of course I just want it to go according to plan.

Lol, when I was handed the key to test drive my MT I was like, well, If we're going to go old school MT, might as well go all the way. But yah I was like C'mon toyota at least make it a flip key. Geesh! I am crossing my fingers that MeSo Customs will finally come through with there flipkey housing. I "almost" considered the AT for a brief moment just for this alone.
