    I assume you are talking about the bar actually attaching to the door instead of using the adhesive. If my 2 door wasn't right beside it and the holes were already in the door I would definitely go that route. I guess i could always do both of them at the same time but wasn't planning the "fix" a door that ain't broke.

    painting it white though it may not be noticeable, plus what you notice, someone coming over probably never will.

    I think the adhesive will fail again in time, it shouldn't, but if it failed once then there's an issue doors either too heavy or it's binding going down.
