Anyone running 285/70r17 tires on 17x8.5 +0 offset wheels with the 1.25 inch spacers?

    Lift? Rubbing?

Thanks for the pics and review I was debating on going 1.5 or 2 and I really like the looks of the 2 in. How have they been holding up any issues? Did you loc-tite them?

    • Buy namebrand (spidertrax or BORA)
    • Torque them as specified
    • Use loctite

If installed properly you will have no issues

I was a bad boy and didn’t buy name brand... but I did torque lugs, and used loctite. I also had to buy extended thread lug nuts to properly secure the spacers. Went with 1.5 in.

it states on the page that it's lug centric, however the ring on the inner and outer portion centers the hub/wheel nicely. snug fit.. I've driven up to 80MPH with only slight vibes.. normal driving I dont notice... if I were reallly anal retentive I would do the old machinints trick, and simply take a soda can.. and cut shims to center the spacer, and make it hub centric..

I like the look of the spacers but don't want to do any other changes right now (lift/wheels).

Is anyone running the 1.25" Spidertrax on a stock TRD Sport with stock wheels and stock P265/65 R17 tires with no rubbing? I just don't want to muck with the fender wells just for spacers.

yes, no rubbing... trd offroad with 265/75/16 (comparative size)... you can put a 255/85/16, or 255/75/17 and it wont rub without the spacers (33" skinny tire) with no mods, or lift, might rub at full stuff....

    Lol
    Well when put like that.....
Yes. I did. Maybe I should change them, but they’re holding up good so far! 10k+ miles on them.

Maybe just replace the studs after another 10k or so, if they've been fine that long they probably will be indefinitely.

I’m honestly hoping to get new wheels before another 10k. We’ll see. I check them pretty regularly.

Is this actually a thing to replace studs on wheel spacers? How do you know when?

It's not that they wear out, just a precaution on cheaper units since that's where they likely skimped on quality.

Yeah. It’s cheaper just to buy another set of spacers. Or use them until you buy rims with the offset you want.
In the beginning when I first got my truck I wasn’t living by the correct Tacoma mod saying of “buy once, cry once”

I've had my spidertrax paired with TRD wheels on for at least 40,000 KMs

    Mods? Yes.
I know its 3 months later, but in case you or someone else wants reference:

    TRD Off-Road Wheel - 3rd Gen

The offset is very similar: 17x7.5 +30mm (Sport) vs 16x7 +25mm (OR) but keep in mind the difference.

    265/75/R16 BFG MT KM3 w/o 1.25" Spidertrax = NO Rubbing
265/75/R16 BFG MT KM3 WITH 1.25" Spidertrax = Very rubbing on Husky (OEM-like) front mud flaps. Without the mud flaps, they do not rub, lock to lock both ways. Have not wheeled yet, but if needed I can report back again if yall want.

This is exactly what I will be doing 2in wheel spacers and adding rokblokz mudflaps and keeping the stock tire size. I would love more pics of that stance if you have more to share

Just put them on my Off-road. Spider Trax 1.25. Zero rubbing. Looks much better than stock.
