3.4L supercharger

What do you guys recommend for exhaust? Nothing too loud and drone. I like loud off road but on the road is a lil much for me. Any experience with the Flowmaster american thunder 50? Thanks

 

Magnaflow. I got a 14” with Doug thorley headers but thinking about going with an 18” to quiet it down some.

For me Flowmaster FX, sometimes I bolt up some modified pipes with no cats, sound pretty quiet. And by quiet I mean not too loud when flooring it, quiet on idle. plus it cost $40-50 online.

 

I'm running a JBA SS catback. It sounds really good. It has a thoaty sound and not to loud.

 

I have the TRD headers with the TRD catback but chopped the end of it off at the axle last year (kept smashing it on rocks)...anyway Id recommend both if you can find them, though they were discontinued several years ago. Pop up every now and then on ebay though

 

I have either a magna flow or flowmaster as part of my cat back, cant remember, will have to check again.
I’ve had it for for probably 400k miles, no issues, no rust. It’s has a nice thoaty sound at idle and then gets Quiet at higher rpms. I did experiment with the cat test tube and the truck sounded horrible.
The drone sounds was pretty bad 75 percent of the time.
The last thing you want is a muffler that has that drone sound.

So, October 14, 9:00 AM is the day. He definitely remembered you and your truck and was super nice. I am definitely installing the methanol. But not sure if I want to leave it overnight for the gauge install but probably will. Sticking with the stock pulley on it for 10k miles (3-4 months). Then going in for a smaller pulley.

 

He's the one that installed my air fuel ratio gauge also,
He is not the cheapest but you know it's done right.
If you decide to go these routes you probably want to give him the smaller pulley you want to put on so he can tune it at the same time with a Dyno, I would go with a 2.1 pulley at least

 

I think you're right. Is there a part number on that by chance? where did you get yours?

 

I agree. It ain't the cheapest. But, then again, you only gotta do it once, which is nice.
