If person banging on door is on the outside of the door, and that's all that is happening, then I see no reason to exit my house.

The danger is not from the person you see, it comes from the persons you don't see.

Normally, yes, especially after dark. Before she suddenly got sick and I had to put her down, my pitbull wasn't one you want to push your way in on, and the older dog is protective too.
In this case, the other neighbors were out yelling at him, asking what the hell he was doing and looking for.
I'm not the neighborhood police, but I`m going to help my neighbors. And the was enough people involved, I felt safe leaving.

Again, you're right, and untimely knock is usually someone trying to get you to open the door.

    Everythings PSA.
556 16" barrel, 13.5 M-Lok, mid length gas system. Think magpul lower kit, and a couple pmags

The only reason I got an AR-15 was because an acquaintance of mine bought his Colt LE6920 back when it was over $1500 in price and sold it to me never used with 3 sets of Magpul furniture that he never installed for only $750.

Now I've learned a crap load about the gun after firing over 2000 rounds for the past 3 years, cleaned it, take it apart and putting it back together again, watching several YouTube Videos on maintenance, upgrade installations and discussions.

And after all that, I conclude that I don't need to upgrade anything for my leisurely usage at the range every now and then. The only upgrade I bought for it was an optic Holosun 503c.

    Very nice!
Don't let the boutique Fork-heads on other forums poo poo your good time! PSA is GTG.
I have some fancy name brand shit that's pretty, under dust, in the back of the safe. My PSA and other hodgepodge rfiles are proven workhorses and see farm, hunting, home defense duty weekly. I was just ringing steel plates at 200 yards, with cheap ammo, on my PSA lower/Radical upper last weekend.

interesting trick to know is you cant hold the door when getting bum rushed. BUT if you put your foot at the bottom of the door a 100lb lady can hold the door cracked/just open. no matter how big the guy is he wont be able to open it unless he knocks the hinges off, to which I put 3in wood screws in all the hinges...

If it was me id buy as many mags and 1k's of ammo i could afford and shoot till the wheels fall off. I can be a gear snob at times so thats why i shoot irons. My friends do seem to like their cheap vortex type optics though.

Was shooting AK's with irons at the 200 yd steel last weekend until the range snobs left, then we pushed back to 500 yds. Was a great time. Weird range set up though, you have to clear out the range, close a gate and then you shoot over the top of the 200yd benches from the 500 yd line.

Its hard for sure! Not the most accurate platform and a long ways but its still really fun! On the 1ft circles I was probably connecting with a little over half of my shots. That was shooting standing w/ the front of the rifle supported on a table. Which I'm happy with, it was also super fun and different from most of the long range shooting I've done previously.

Gotta admit i dont shoot much past 100yrds. In PA we have public ranges run by the state. Carlisle just so happens to be one of the few in the state that go out to 200 - 300 yrds. The 200 - 300 yrd range berm is serperated by a berm from the 75 -100 yrd range.

My mismatched chinese SKS will do min of man at 100 yrds. It shoots better than my Wasr10.

There are few guns I regret selling more than my SKS, one of which was my pre-ban Colt Sporter Lightweight.

I just finished a bare bones pistol build with PSA stuff on a Seekins receiver I've had sitting around for 7 years. The idea was light weight and simplicity, and it does that, but my Daniel Defense V5 w/ Geisele SSA-E feels like a Cadillac compared to it.

A good trigger will help any rifle, but a SSA-E is a whole nother level. I have one in a long barrel lefty handed 556, and contemplating spending the money for another for a 6.8 build, but also thought about waiting for the famed LaRaue, I doubt it's as nice, but I hear for $90, they can't be beat.
