    Went up to NF7030 in green water to Stampede for some fall scenery and got winter instead which was pretty awesome. Gallagher looks awesome in the winter! I was up there early spring.

    This is a good place to find local channels you can listen in on.

    Otherwise you can find the FRS/GMRS channels and stuff and program them into the radio. A lot easier if you have the cable to connect to a PC but can be done on the unit itself.

    Its definitely easier using the cord and CHIRP. Can do all your programing in one shot. Plus its nice to rename frequencies to their channel (like naming the NOAA frequency as NOAA)

    And gmrs should be legal you just need the license


    The whole spectrum of radios and the FCC needs a good redoing. Technology has changed so much since a lot of it was written
