Typically the sliders that require less work to install will cost more upfront. There are less expensive brands around, but you typically have to drill 2-3 holes in the frame. (End result is typically just as strong, but drilling into the high-strength steel frame upside down is a pain.)

My RCI sliders weren't shipped like that. They pierced the end of the box en-route and had some damage to powder coat. Minimal still I didn't make a claim but still a little annoyed when I see it.

Same thing happened to my very well packaged Olhausen billiard table during delivery. Some jackass managed to punch a forklift through a fully enclosed 1/2 plywood pallet. (when buying tables individually, Olhausen charges a fee for special pallet packaging to help mitigate damages during shipment)
I DID file a claim and the shipper paid out for their negligence.

Few give a shit when handling things that don't belong to them.
Glad to hear RCI has apparently stepped up their packaging to help manage this.

That’s too bad. I try to keep in mind these things are designed to be scraped across rocks. My RCI rear bumper arrived perfect as well, but has its share of battle scars now. I’m sure these sliders won’t be perfect for long. My main concern was that the powder coat the buts up to the frame be in good shape because I don’t want any rust developing on it.

It may just be the camera angle. They are actually pretty tight. Unless you are referring to the 1st photo with the forklift, in which case that is hilarious.

Thanks for the post! I finally got around to painting my RCI sliders this weekend. Your pics give me motivation to install them this week

Rustoleum textured finish. I think it came out a little blotchy. But whatever, I saved a little scrilla not powder coatingDSC_0594.jpg

    These things are TANKS

Your gonna love how they look on the truck.

There is a few good YouTube videos that helped me out a lot. The RCI instructions are kinda basic. The Tacobandit one was helpful.

I'll definitely check out the video if I need help. I plan to use one of my shop lifts to hold up the sliders, pretty much what you did with the the yota fork lift

The main thing that RCI doesn’t point out is removing the rectangular plug and piercing the circular sticker for the front two fasteners. You must do that first.

Do the driver side first, because the interference items and the hard-to-reach stuff is all on that side. Once you’ve stuffed your arm behind the brake lines to get into the boxed section on the drivers side, the passenger side will seem like a day off.

What degree sliders did you go with? I’m trying to find some comparison between their 5 and 20 degree.

I went with the 20 degree. I can stand on them to access the roof, but not as nearly as easily as I could on my OEM running boards. I don’t regret the 20 degree for my uses, but if you are hoping for them to double as steps I’d go 5 degree.

    Thanks!
After looking through some of the other threads and going back and forth between, I’m thinking 5 degree with top plate is my best option.
