The Beer Nerd - what are you drinking / brewing thread

I tried most of the menu at least a sip. My flight was a hazy, hazy with fruit, imperial stout and their strawberry wheatwine. Then had their dirty 30 pale. pale was the only one worth another buy. Tried the helles, vanilla blonde and pomegranate saison, none impressed. I'm just a beer snob asshole though

 

Modern Times Invigatorium. Place is a damn trip. They have a coffee bar and a full bar. It’s very hipster. Very exotic

 

I just dropped the 17g each of Mosaic and Citra in my hazy. I don’t know if it will end up any good after being bottled, but it certainly looks like a proper NEIPA right now.

 

One more tonight. Gotta celebrate my soccer team's win back home in Portugal, and refinancing mortgage from 30 to 15 years.

Any Vermonters in here? I cross-posted this in the Vermont regional forum but figured I’d check here as well! Need some camping advice for an upcoming bucket list beer trip.

A buddy of mine and I will be traveling through Vermont during a little beer tourism / truck camping trip Oct. 16-21. We’re hoping to camp somewhere near Greensboro (visiting Hill Farmstead) but all of the sanctioned camp sites are closed for the season by then. All I really need is a place to park my truck and set up a canopy tent. Some folks have recommended trying my with state/federal lands once we’re in the area.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

(For those interested, we’re coming from Ohio and we’ll be stopping in Boston > Portland > Greensboro > Burlington > Rochester. Brewery stops will include Treehouse, Bissell Brothers, Allagash, Austin Street, Hill Farmstead, Foam, Alchemist, Other Half and Mortalis.)

 

Was the strawberry wheat wine called super tramp?

That’s a good one. They used to make it with raspberry.

Dustbowl makes some great beer IMO but I mostly drink their core beers. The ones I can get in cans or bottles locally like the pale.

Next time try the hobo pils. I don’t typically drink pilsners but it’s really good.

 

Yeah, super tramp, that's it... Not bad, just not my fav. I'm definitely not dying to go back when i'm home, Alvarado st and fieldwork would definitely be my go-to in the area.

I had my MIL get the Hobo pils, it was pretty decent, i thought it was a helles, guess I remembered wrong. Not bad, but I was looking for something a little more I guess.

Last can. Decided to have a 2nd because I'm watching a huge Copa Libertadores soccer game right now, and there's 20 minutes left still.

 

Think I may be doing a mild “sober October” and doing no alcohol during the week. Would go all week, but I can’t watch football on Sunday’s without a brewski or five. Especially being a Lions fan

 

I’ve actually been doing the same thing for a couple weeks more or less. I’ve been brewing way more than I’ve been drinking and my new beer fridge is already almost full. The weather is about to finally cool down here this weekend though and cooler weather usually shifts me in to beer mode.

Sorry about being a Lions fan. I’m a Bengals fan so I know

 

What is with this? A few other people that I know we're doing this it's October at you're supposed to be drinking beer it's not like it's the middle of February or January
