I have this massive griddle that I cook my lunches and dinners on. Usually lunch is 12lbs (ish) of chicken, onions, and some teriyaki or sweet soy sauce.

Then dinners are ground beef/bison with bacon or for leaner weeks I'll throw in ground chicken. Same thing with some onions/or peppers and sauce.

Then I just chop it all up, throw it in containers (6 lunch/6 dinner), freeze all but one for the next day, then for my rice I use those 90 sec microwave packets. This is by far the quickest and easiest way to prep and eat that I have found.

When you eyeball it you leave a lot of room for error. Your eyeballs make everything slowly bigger over time. 1 cup becomes 1.5 cups pretty quick.
Especially things like rice and pasta.

I still count my almonds out erry day. I get 28.

That is excellent. Been wanting to get a griddle but don’t have the space for one. May have to just get one of the griddle toppers to throw over my gas grill

I'll fit in 83 with zero effort and plenty of room to grow, so that one.
Thanks. Been wanting to give it a go for a while. Figured there's no time like the present. I really don't have the time I'd like to prep for this one, but I figure it'll be good to go pop the cherry and maybe learn what I'm doing at a meet. haha.

I loved competing. Still think about it occasionally. 6 weeks isn't too bad to train really, as long as you've been doing some decent training and not just laying around on the couch! lol Big thing usually for new competitors is getting depth on the squat, pausing on the bench and not hitching on the deads. And in all of them, Wait for the signal to rack or set the DL down! I've watched guys get red lighted and almost have myself for trying to rack too soon.

im assuming by that weight class this is USAPA? I competed twice before my hip injury in USPA at 82, which is roughly the same as your 83 class. I agree with @TRVsTRD. the queues are the toughest. My training partner was red lighted twice for not waiting on bench queues and I was red lighted on a deadlift for “slamming”. The judge said my left arm was bent when the weight went back to the floor so I must’ve not been in control. Total BS, but the lesson is to not drop the weight or let it take you to the floor. Just pick it up and then control it back down without “slamming”...

Do you have a coach or a solid program? 6 weeks is quick, but that gives you a good 4-5 weeks to prep and peak with time to rest before game day

Thank you too. I’ll definitely practice commands in the gym a lot.

yes, I typically peak best after about 8-10 weeks with a two week taper, but I’m not going to take this one too seriously. Get my feet wet, learn, and have fun.
