Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend Cheech.

When I was about 15 years old a friend and I were walking through a rural cemetery. We came upon one particular headstone which caught my attention. It had the following inscription:

Remember friend as you walk by,
As you are now, so once was I,
As I am now so must you be,
And may the Lord remember thee.

Amazing that I would memorize those words and remember them 60 years later.

It kind of puts you in touch with your mortality doesn't it?

It is still very hot here in Mobile Alabama. There were 7 days in September with record highs for that date here.

I have decided that were have 4 seasons here:

    Almost summer

    Summer

    Still summer

    And winter

It's going Ken. Another rainy night here. :rain: Winter will be showing up any day now.

How are you my friend? Those aches and pains from the vehicle accident subsided?

Winnemucca, Nevada broke a record for snow falling so early in the season. First time in over 100 years. Supposed to be in the 70's here this weekend.

Redneck radio mentioned last week that temps were warmer 1,000 years ago per core samples of ice and we are in a mini ice age.

Afternoon, all. Roofers are finally here to fix hurricane damage. They are rehanging gutters & re coating the old metal roof. Our house sits on the property line so I got permission for access to the yard of the vacant house next door.

The elderly owner's son was cooperative but his sister raised a fuss about them being in the yard. (She lives 2 doors down). I try to get along with all but sometimes avoiding angry people is best.

As a side note, her Aunt who lived across the street, was the oldest victim in the church shooting a couple years back. I guess I'd be angry too.

Could you send some rain down this way please Rob. You can keep the snow :D All of the rain we had is gone and now the grass is turning brown.

Doing so-so Rob. Thanks for asking. Back is still an issue. Going to physical therapy 3 times a week and it doesnt seem to be getting much better. Ankle and knee are much better. The therapist said if in a couple of more weeks the back feels the same they'll have the doctor order an MRI. Keeping my :fingerscrossed: that it will get better.

How are you and the family doing? Have a good day ( or night or morning)whatever time zone you are in :).:woot:
