Looking for low profile and light weight bumper for a winch.

I’m looking for lighter-weight lower-profile bolt-on bumper options that will provide shackle points and a winch mount. I’m currently eyeing the DV8 Toyota Tacoma Center Mount Winch Capable Front Bumper. - https://dv8offroad.com/collections/toyota-bumpers/products/fbtt1-05

Big fan of my Warn bumper. Combined with a Warn 10k winch. Has worked great for what I need it for. Not a huge fan of the hoop, but it’s grown on me.

Big fan of this one! After adding the powdercoating option to the SSO one, this one is $170 cheaper and ships pretty quick for free

 

I’ve got the Warn, it’s a great affordable slim bumper without all the cutouts in the front.

I have the Warn too.

 

If you can wait until Black Friday you can probably get a pretty good price. Most of the Tacoma fab shops have some pretty good deals.

I kinda like the Warn option. I assume this does not interfere with any of the Safety Sense stuff, correct?

Also, can the winch and winch control fit fully inside the bumper?

Aluminum T3 with mid-height bar (which can mess with TSS from what I hear, but idk) Had a good powder coat job done with primer coat so it's bulletproof. Shoot me a PM if interested. It won't work with my LT kit unless I heavily modify it which doesn't make economic sense.

 

Don't know about the safety sense 2017 does not have it. Yes everything fits inside

 

I think you’d be ok with an off-road grille, but the pro grille has issues with this bumper.

 

Looking at the height of that bull bar you may get some interference with the TSS if you have it equipped. The TSS radar module sits behind the grill garnish in the middle (see pic below). If the bull bar is high enough to reflect back you may get some weirdness.

 

that is nice! definitely on my short list for a 2020 OR. My only question is do you have to do any cutting on the original bumper to install? That's my only turnoff...I know the SOS hybrid bumper requires cutting the existing, maybe there's no way around it.

 

No cutting required for the warm. Completely bolt on. There is optional cutting of the plastic bumper cover underneath, but it’s not necessary. Great instructions for install as well.

C4 Fabrication would work for your needs, but a few drawbacks.

No powder coating available makes the cost higher. Fabrication time is 6 plus weeks.
