I am not going to deny that I have a problem with authority, nor will I deny that I have a very warped view of it. You can thank the public school system for that second one...

I’ve never been arrested, I have a clean driving record, and I’d say that 99% of the time I follow the law.

I do not have a problem with police. My Uncle Keith has been a cop in New Jersey for like 26 years. He’s a lieutenant now. Uncle Keith thinks that, among other things, DUI checkpoints are unconstitutional and a waste of police resources.

Uncle Keith also says that whenever he pulls someone over or interacts with anyone, honesty is the best policy. In the early 1990s, he pulled over a woman for erratic driving and she was hammered. He asked her where she was coming from and she point blank said “uh, the bar...”

He parked her car for her and drove her home.

 

Neither of us hate police because of that

 

Imagine you’re a guy with Aspergers who’s done nothing wrong in his life, and you’re driving your own vehicle. You were instructed by your parents on how to deal with police during a traffic stop. You get stopped, handcuffed, and put in the back of a cop car just because a your truck matches the description of a stolen vehicle. I’d have complied, but I’d have been terrified.

Also, if I were that cop, I would have run the license plate and checked the VIN before handcuffing the driver.

I have very strict ethics and morals, and I think I’ve done a good job staying on the right side of the law. I don’t blame police. They just have a job to do. I blame politics for turning our Law Enforcement Officers into Revenue Generation Officers, their most common purpose being to write as many tickets as possible and make money for the state.

 

I also feel that simply paying a traffic ticket is admitting defeat.

 

It’s the law

 

You do to accept a ticket. You’re allowed to take it it courts and fight it, which is what I’ve done twice and won.

 

There’s a lot of things to love about living in Pennsylvania, but one thing that absolutely sucks is the Capone-era Liquor Control Board that controls the distribution of hard liquor through unionized “state stores” like this one in Warminster...

I honestly think that the mainstream media is trying to destroy law enforcement in this country, and I don’t like it one bit.

 

You’re obviously annoyed by all law enforcement so I don’t think you truly disagree

 

Make up your mind

 

I’m not annoyed by all law enforcement, but I am annoyed by a certain demographic of law enforcement who tends to be egotistical and a bit to excited about being cops (as my friend Adrianna put it).

I stand by the police and believe in fully cooperating with the police, but if something happens that I don’t like happens, I’ll bitch about it to my family and friends.

I know several cops in my current town of residency. They’re all really cool guys, the type of guys who will chat with me and neighbors for hours as long they’re not on a call.

 

So then you’re not pro-police

 

You don’t make sense simply because you always make yourself look like the victim. I seriously don’t know what the problem is between you and DUI checkpoints for example. It’s the law, and LEO’s have authority over YOU... that’s why they’re called law enforcement officers

 

And I blame the people who make the laws. Police only enforce the laws. They’re not to blame in the slightest. It’s the twatwaffle politicians.

 

I do not feel my rights are infringed at the Border Patrol checkpoints when going up north. They have all the right and authority to stop and detain me. Take the DUI checkpoints to court and watch the judge kick you out of his courtroom for the 4th amendment BS

 

If you don’t like it then vote em’ out

 

You’re not intoxicated nor got anything to hide so why bitch about DUI checkpoints?
