Hey @monkeyevil my logo has “burrs” too but instead of zooming in like everyone else, I took a pic at what would be considered a normal viewing distance.

THE HORROR!!! I can’t believe how badly those burrs can be seen from a normal perspective!! I think you guys need to issue me a refund right away; plus extra money for all my grief.

So if your Tacoma came with drips in the paint you couldnt see unless you looked close you would have been cool with that? Its the principle I have seen powdercoated logos with just as much detail that dont look like this. This is the product being put out when you have direct competition with another company on a similar price point. Prinsu seems to be able to deliver, mobtown logos were cleaner on my sliders and those can never be seen. The burs are just to point out its a continued issue and the cant be broken off easily I tried. There are also areas on the cutouts where they were hanging for powdercoat and never got coated and are bare aluminum. But your welcome to your opinion. For a rack that cost more then prinsu and does nothing different it isnt worth it in my opinion. This is a thread comparing the two and if none of this matters to you then dont worry about it.

I have the cab and cap racks they work fine and will get the job done, im just saying for over a $1k for both they should put a little more effort into it.

Okay; so, go buy a prinsu then and quit whining about it. Seems like a pretty simple solution.

    upload_2019-10-1_18-47-19.jpg

Edit: better yet, go start your own company, design a new rack, cut it on a fancy laser table, powder coat in house, and package it decently, oh and don’t forget your ISO 9001 because we can’t have ANY imperfections and quality control must be maintained at any expense.

I haven't read the entire thread, but my Pinsu roof rack certainly has more burs than my Victory 4x4 bed rack.

On a completely unrelated note, while taking pictures just now, I noticed one of by Victory 4x4 bed rack uprights is starting to rust along the weld/joint. I was hoping to get a full year without having to bust out the Rustoleum.

Perhaps it's the machining/cutting process of steel vs. aluminum...?

I agree with @orionstrident , that's not a very clean cut and if it's PC then that process needs to be examined again.

Constant refinent need to be a goal. If I was producing this product I wouldn't be proud to out my name on it.

Zoomed in or not, it's not clean.

We strive to get better every day. In fact a half million dollar fiber laser cutter is getting unloaded tomorrow morning. Cut quality and speed (and debt ) is about to get a huge boost.

Mine has the same issue on the bed rack as well. Not a big problem though. Every rack isnt going to be perfect.

I just want to make it clear that we don't want to downplay any of our customer's dissatisfaction for any reason. It's our job as a company to meet the standards, quality, and customer service that we promise. If we fail to do that, then it's on us to do better, or at least make sure that we are upfront and honest about our products and timelines.

On another note... After going back and forth between an OEM rack and Victory, I got the Victory to haul my canoe back and forth from NJ to Maine -- at 75 mph. Even drove many miles over the logging roads. SO glad I went this direction. Being $100 less than a Prinsu was great too. Great rack.

I did the same damn thing on my trail limo haha stupid plastic bumpers. But seriously if your truck has battle scars like that from wheeling, who cares about a few small burrs on a $600 roof rack? lol Prinsu cost a couple hundred more by the time you pay tax and shipping so at least you can justify expecting better QC since the price is higher. The way I see it, I got a sweet roof rack and saved $200 by having a few very small burs in the laser cut. lol
