might be making a road trip in the next month with the girl to pick up her horses from Canada

I teased her about it being a roundabout way about asking to use my new truck but I know it would be a huge pain in the ass for her to drive up and bring back 4 horses on her own in my truck or hers

Fly up and ride them back down. They are horses that’s what they do.

I was revisiting my own topic of rear shock relocation, and just going back and forth over the cross-member section vs outboard.

Outboard helps reduce body roll, and since I'm not a rock crawler by any means, makes more sense for me.

I'd be limited to running a 10" shock, and I'd have to run spacers. They are supposed to dampen better though.

You say that like it's a bad part of how you'd mount them, fact of the matter is a Taco rear can really only cycle about 10" anyway with stock mounted leafs

Custom valving would alleviate the issue of being limited to a 10" shock so a moot point really so you're right.

I would be going spring under though, with a custom leaf pack.

See? I need to quit shopping for shit...

Best advice for that is get it all installed and measure your travel before buying shocks. And when you do buy them explain to Filthy Motorsports how you use the truck, how that shocks are mounted, your ride preferences, and weight and they'll get you setup and valves like a pro. Ben at Filthy even likes pics of your mounts and truck to dial you in

That's solid advice; but I can just try to throw all this out the window, and try to give up the thought of doing a rear shock relocation completely as long as you guys never mention it, Ever.
