Local dealer said they can get the back glass for 350, or I could get tinted plexiglass for 80 and make it myself

Get the real deal, I’ve replaced him with plexiglass in the past and it is a pain in the ass.

Id go for the glass. You barely have anything in it now, and thatd make it really nice and much more secure

backupcamera.jpg Performed the Mirror to head unit back up camera upgrade on my 2013. Should have done this a long time ago, the tiny screen in the mirror was driving me mad.

Kit comes from Camera Source added the camera with the guide lines as well. The kit is very nice and easy to install. Instructions could be clearer as to what contacts to put pins in and which wires you need to splice, but all in all very pleased.

Yes. Just moves the camera output from the mirror to the radio.

I replaced the camera in the tailgate because the original one doesn't have the guidelines as part of the camera.

Got the OME 883's and Bilstein Adj. 5100's installed. Those with the Firestone air bags running about 8 psi and it rides really good.

This morning a spent a couple hours combining the 2 OEM optional aluminum skid plates that I picked up here and on craigslist to make a very solid 1/4" thick solid skid plate ...

I picked up one here in fair condition and mounted it, it was nice but felt it needed a bit more. While thinking of how I could reinforce it I came across another on Craigslist that was like new. I decide to see if I could layer the two together, I had to swage the rim on the lower plate (work slow, aluminum can split) to get them to fit, I then installed 2 pop-rivets to keep them aligned during install, used longer attachment bolts and once bolted in they made a very solid skid plate. All the access holes work and do not interfere with anything. I will need to add a trim along the front edge for cosmetics.

What kind of gauge are you using for the airbags? Or do you have an onboard compressor/gauge?

Anybody left the rear camera in the mirror and put a front camera in and used the radio screen for the front? Is this possible?
