My black one did but the compressor shaft seal shit the bed and I wasn't about to pay $600 for a rebuilt compressor. So I started to design a retrofit to a new pump and actually almost finished it but I decided I didn't care enough and I wanted to stick a big turbo there instead.

The stock bigass swash plate compressor stole 18hp off the engine and worked okay. The one I was adapting would have stolen ~5hp and worked better... I might finish this kit and sell it too people.... I dunno

Also the silver Z is actually my friends, I just store it and work on it a lot with him. Makes 563hp to the wheels out of that 3.0L V6 the way we have it setup and tuned

This is a 1991ish Mercury Colony Park wagon; One look and it's easy to see why this one ended up here...

If the car were a year or two old, it probably would have been repaired, but it was involved in a fender bender that deployed the airbag and that totaled it...

 

I believe this back wheel is from a 2nd Gen 5-lug Taco...

I was uploading photos of the Family Truckster you see above, and all of a sudden when I tried to post it said "BAD GATEWAY"...

 

I actually saw Beverly D'Angelo's personal Wagon Queen Family Truckster sell at a Mecum auction I was at. Cool looking, built as part of the set of them used in the movie (this one just was never required to be used for screen time)

 

Someone already harvested the engine from this car; The hood wouldn't open, so the best view I got was through where the grille used to be...

The damage that presumably caused the airbag to deploy...




The inspection stickers expired in March 2017, which means this was probably wrecked sometime in 2016. This certainly answers the question about whether or not airbags will still work when the vehicle is almost thirty years old!
