Ok guys, I am actively submitting an offer on the Ebay Dasaita head unit, I offered $400 to start with, they countered with $450.. I just countered with $420, I don't want to go any higher than that right now... Seem reasonable?

hmm any try this? I don't really want to spend another $20 curious if that one part fixes it.

EDIT: going to give it a go. Seems like it will work.

I picked up the adapter to keep the factory USB port. How does the USB work on the HU? No apparent AUX or USB icon. I have not tried to plug in a USB yet but figured thats probably why its now showing up. Everything else shows up so assumed that would to.

Aee folks hooking up all 3 USBs and if so what are you hooking up to them? Anyone know if there is a limitation to them (sizewise and format) like the entune radio?

Fairly new to TW, what the huge deal with the radio upgrade. I've heard alot about it but would like to hear the benefits of the radio over stock.

In my case I don't have the factory flat screen, navigation, yada yada, I have the stock old radio.. The cost, size of the screen, capabilities of the Android operating system with car play and such is nothing but moving up for me.. The fit to the dash is also something I like, the Alpine 509 unit I believe it is, sticks out of the dash like a sore thumb, and COSTS a mint compared to this unit..

Thanks Jason, that's what I'd read thru here somewhere.. Did anyone ever figure out the fitment of the hazard switch besides hot glue?

Correct, it's a 9 inch Android Tablet, fits really nice in the dash too, not like some of the other replacement head units.

My hazard switch fit using a 2005 bracket. I did put an extra screw in the side to keep it in place better.

Were you able to use the factory radio brackets?

yah radio is light enough I am not sure you need to. You can modify them or get a scosce or some other kit but so far its been fine without it as well.

For folks that have used the USB does it show up once you have a USB stick plugged in? Added a couple and did not get a response so figured something is missing.

Ya it fit pretty secure for me with out the bracket. I used a gasket to eliminate gaps and wiggle.

Please for forgive me for failing to follow all that occurred in this thread.
So has anyone got of of these Chinese Android units (Dasaita/Seicane/Joying/???) to work in a 2015?
Can any work with all the OEM accessories (backup cam, antenna, gps, mic, steering control buttons)?

I have it in a 2013 but just came from a 2015 HU. You just make sure you order the right wire harness. I ordered the wrong one it seems so had to order a CANBUS which should restore the rear camera (converts it to a RCA input). Antenna works, GPS you can get an adapter to connect which is noted in this thread, Mic will not work but the one built in is pretty good and they provide one as well most have not used it. The steering with the CANBUS supposed to work out of the box. I programmed mine which the HU does pretty well except a couple buttons. Overall you retain most of the functions out of the box. 3rd gen and 2015 have pretty much the same wiring. I was going to retrofit a 3rd gen Premium HU and seemed to work just fine.

They also supply USBs but if you want to retain the stock one their is an adapter noted in the products discussed or the thread.

The only big annoyance that is not connectivity is the hazard panel. It does not fix direct. Your setup now has a sleeve which mounts it. The HU we get uses the old 2005-2011 frame. You can fix it by getting an older mount (more of a pain) or I believe you can use a 05-11 scosche stereo install fit kit. I have one coming tomorrow so I will know for sure but seems to work from what I have seen people post.

Spend the extra $30 or so and get the wireless carplay. Can be a bit dodgy connecting at times but no need for a wire is nice. There is also a thread that talks just on the android HU's. That one and this one have been great. Only big difference is the dash mount that I have seen.

My 2015 did not need Canbus. As far as I know only the 3rd gens need it. The 2015 uses analog/resistance controls for the steering wheel. The radio should come with the correct harnesses for the rear cam and steering wheel controls.

    Wireless CarPlay is a must

Mine did not have anything for the camera which annoyed me. Told me to order a different cable setup which also had a canbus Might be different for the seicene and dasaita setups. I did order a seicene adapter that you posted but thats taking forever. I will give both a try. The CANBUS from what I gathered has the controls pre wired and includes the wire for the camera if you run the Dasaita. I will keep the thread posted as it may solve the non working enter, return or have them work independent instead of parallel wiring.
