You need a regular hunting license to hunt anywhere. If you are hunting management areas, you have to have a management license alongside your regular hunting license. On top of that, you need a map of the management area you are hunting. That map is your permit to hunt that management area. You can usually pick them up at the gun counter at Walmart, local gun stores, some gas stations.

If you are just stepping out your back door to hunt, or hunting private land, regular hunting license is all you need. Pick the "All Game" license. This lets you hunt deer, turkey, rabbit, squirrel, dove, quail, and all small games. Open season on crows, pigs and coyotes.

Unfortunately, only my wife and I are allowed to hunt that 88 acres. We can always go to any management area for a hunt though, just let me know! We are hitting up Sam R. Murphy this year, lots of MONSTER bucks have been killed out of that place!

I know a few good spots I can take us on Choccolocco. Let's plan a weekend for an all day hunt and I'll take you!

Heading out to Asheville, NC in the morning and going to camp off the Blue Ridge parkway for 2-3 night while driving toward Va. I have never been past Boone, NC so I plan on a bit further this year.

A fall protection harness is required when hunting on any management areas. Private or personal owned land, it's at your discretion to use one or not.

I'm thinking we could hit up Sam R. Murphy together. They clear cut there a few years ago and the growth should be perfect now. Jeannie's brother lives like 10 miles from Sam R. Murphy and we always hunt there over the Christmas holidays. Haven't killed anything yet, but have seen a few great big bucks there!

I used to hunt growing up. My son just got into it last year. We had a great spot last year, but are looking for this year. That's my dad's 30-30 and 22 passed to me. My son got his 243 last year, and it's a great gun. Y'all will have to make a trip up and check out my homemade gun range out back.

I would definitely be down for a range day! One of my favorite past times is sending some lead downrange!
