I ran that setup on my 2nd gen that had 2-2.5” lift up front. S6s, not Ray 10s but same specs. Never had enough rubbing to warrant a CMC for me. I ran mud flaps as well.

Damn that truck looks good. I wonder if the second gen has more clearance than the third.

    Thanks

Clearance will be very similar. If anything the 3rd will have a slight bit more room.

The specs of the wheels you're looking at will mandate some trimming of plastic regardless of the tire size. But I wouldn't anticipate a CMC being required if you run skinnies.

Stock suspension. Slight rub at full lock off road. Could have zero, but won’t bother lifting until I go 315s.

CMC, heat gunned fender liners back ~2”

This doesn't make sense. No lift, 285s, negative offset wheels and only slight rub at full lock? So you can mostly turn off-road with suspension compressing without rubbing besides full lock? Nso fender contact without trimming flares?

I'm so confused, that is quite opposite of my experience. I ran 285s on 2" lift on 16x8 -12 and rubbed front and rear fender flares pretty good. It took quite a bit of trimming to clear and even then it would rub occasionally on compression.

Lmfao, I DONT HAVE FLARES. You guys with the over priced V6s have to a lot more trimming with the flares and mud flaps in the way.

Only portion I cut was the bottom connector of the fender where it attaches to the inner liner (angles in toward the tire). I massaged the rest back with a heat gun - works amazing and so easy.

I don’t go batshit crazy off-road at 40mph thrashing my truck, so yes, as of now - hardly any rub - and it’s actually still on the cab mount because I have stock UCAs with shit caster (can’t push wheel forward). I may do a more aggressive CMC, but not till I lift, regear, and go 35s

Looks great! Could you throw up just a straight side shot of your truck without any angles?

I honestly might change up to black ray10s - I love gunmetal when it’s in the shade (looks color matched), but in the sun it’s almost a little too flashy for me.

More rubber with 35s may solve that though ;)
