    That’s sexy!

This is the 1250 I’ve been eyeing.

I value your input. I want to ride, really do. I was talking to someone this afternoon and I realized that all my “adult” life I’ve been told no. Parent, ex wife and now ex girlfriend. It’s just the concern they have for you and I get it. But also. I don’t want to grow old and sit there with regret thinking, man, that could have been fun. I want to sit there and say “shit, that was a lot of fun and I loved every minute of it”. I can’t say that right now.

If I were to bike to work I’m not at a point where I’m comfortable lane splitting like a lot of these guys do. I’m cool in the left lane or far right lane chilling and having a shoulder as an avoidance option. If there’s room and I’m comfortable with my skills and traffic I’ll lane split.

You guys must have the big bucks. My MT09 was less than 8 G’s. Wrote a check, and then rode it home. Free and clear. But I don’t plan to tour With it. Bought to commute. It’s a day tripper. I know the risks. Did it anyway. Super cautious. Rode it for a year from south Oakland area to Point Richmond, every day. Retired now so just use it to putter about.

    No, I just don’t give a fuck!

I’ve got enough saved up, the mil retirement, the GI Bill transfered and a budget set aside for the bike, insurance and maint. So, why not?

Very few 1250’s on the used market. Too new. Maybe in a year or so.

Honda just announced a slew of updates to the 2020 Africa Twin - all the creature comforts and tech that's standard on the 1250, now on the Honda. Electronic cruise control, lean angle sensor for abs/traction, multiple ride modes, TFT display with apple car play, Showa electronic suspension, wheelie control, stoppie control. Check it out: https://www.advpulse.com/adv-news/2020-honda-africa-twin-announced/

Obviously it has less power, it has a smaller tank, and it's chain driven - is that worth $8k more? (maybe the bimmer would hold it's value better)

My feelings based on the handful of years in the midwest: Loved Wisconsin and Minnesota, hated Iowa and Kansas. Would hesitate to live in Illinois.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a place in Sacramento I can take that bus for some CMC work? I don’t want the tires to rub.
Alternatively, if you could just let me know what size tires will fit so I don’t have to chop, that’d be great.

You definitely have to watch out for other people and be mindful of your surroundings. But riding for me is indescribable and therapeutic for me. It's hard for me to give up riding, just something I've always enjoyed doing.

You chop to fit tire size you want. You dont choose tire size to accommodate the cab mount.:D
