I have the same one in Quicksand V6 auto SX pkg, mine came w mudflaps but no steps. Are those factory step bars? So far have added the intermittent wipers, tweeter upgrade, seat covers, coinholder and foglights.

Did the tweeter upgrade make a significant difference for you? I heard somewhere that it's not as substantial of a change for the SR models. I'm on the fence about making the swap.

its a necessary step in doing the whole system. All the speakers need replacing at the very least

Yes, I could tell the difference. Also they are plug and play so no wiring required. The hardest part for me was getting the old ones unplugged. There's some good u tube vids on the installation process.

Suprizingly well, 1st gear feels fine for take off, the original 265’s would shift out of 1st fairly quick. The 33’s & 34’s make it use 1st like my old 2000 2.7 auto 4WD with 4.10’s.

The old 33’s would shift to 3rd on overpasses in cruse control and scream at 5200 rpm’s, I would have to shut off the cruse. It now drops to 42-4500 rpms in 3rd. With the cruse off, I can maintain 4th, but could also with the 33’s.

I could easily run these with the current gearing around Houston (flatland), we shall see what a road trip does. The 1st day around the neighborhood, my indicated mpg went from 16 to 19, on the Hwy its indicating 1 mpg better, 15 to 16, I have a heavy foot, lol.

I’m still playing with the air pressure, Discount-T had the fronts at 45 & rear at 40?

Wondering if anyone has added a keyed lock to their passenger side door? Ideally would be the same as the driverside, ignition etc.

Can’t you just unlock both from the driver’s side?

Why yes but it would be nice if I do say so myself to have a keyed lock on the passenger door so when I come out from Walmart I don't have to walk around to the drivers door to unlock the passenger side so I can set my groceries in the passenger seat & floorboard. Same with coming out with my clothes to go or come home from the laundry mat. It is a inconvenience Toyota has bestowed on us SR owners with just to save a few coins.

    Maybe no keyless entry?

If so, it can be added.

Have the SX package but not the convenience package so no keyless entry.

Most SR models I’ve found on lots in my area seem to have the Convenience Package added at the port—Southeast Toyota. That was the case with my SR.

I have pretty much "SR5ed" my SR with the intermittent wipers and foglight upgrades, (it came with the mudflaps, floormats, fender skirts, and sill protector, SX pkg) don't really care about the remote locks but I could go that way if needed. Would be happy though as I said to just have the passenger side unlock with the key.

Just turn the key in the door to 'open' twice, and the pass. door will unlock as well
