Yes. The original camera was displayed in the rear view mirror.

My eyes suck and I found it difficult to use (granted... better than no backup camera).

Found the kit and decided to do it. There is a thread on here somewhere about wiring a camera.

I have often thought about doing the same to my 2013, and your post has convinced me to give up on the tiny mirror camera image. Would appreciate learning what camera you used in your application.

I don't have $900 for sliders with kickouts and plates... so I opted for the $15 bed liner "upgrade" lol

    It works.

    (for now....)

I'm glad I decided to paint mine to match, personally not a huge fan of the black grille look

A little something every chance we get.
I picked up this Bumper Guard a couple weeks back and procrastinated my way through installing it. I cleaned it up a little, because used....

Amber demon eyes wired to the ignition.

    White shroud backlight for DRLs.

Amber shroud backlight for parking lights.

Another brighter amber backlight in the shrouds for a turn signal.

Gonna run them like this for a while and see what I think. May end up changing em and making the DRL amber and the running light white. Not sure yet though. The harness plug a made is easy enough to depin and move shit around.

When you go to Camera Source for the kit, the camera is in the suggested items on that page. however, here is the link.

I should have taken pictures when I did this, but unfortunately i didn't.

The kit is ALMOST plug and play. You have to add a pin to one of the connectors on the radio harness and splice the other end of that wire to a reverse trigger power. The instructions are a little ambiguous as to which wire is the trigger and which slot in the connector to put the pin.

I don't know why I waited so long. What a difference!!

Totally possible. I have the camera and just need to wire it up. I plan to put a switch somewhere to activate it and force the radio to think that I am in reverse. Note: I have a Kenwood headunit.
