I shopped around and ended up buying from Www.Offroadalliance.com Chris is on here and is a good dude @OffroadAlliance . They've got excellent customer service. I just installed mine tonight actually.

Does anybody know where to find SS economy nuts or drop in nuts?

I have skimmed a good amount of this thread, and I also skimmed through the "Alternative HW.." thread but could not find a link to where ppl are getting SS nut hardware. Found SS bolts but no nuts:(

    Pic for reference...

They were the first place I checked and I thought for sure they would have some, but they only have them with a spring ball in the nut and I would prefer just the normal ones if I could get them.

    Thanks for the reply tho!

I usually hand wash my truck..but have any of you ever gone through a automatic car wash with the prinsu on?

Lol. Sometimes you just don't have time to do it by hand.

Did once, ended up with a free cloth noodle. Use the touchless.

What size bolts are you guys using to mount stuff to the prinsu? 1/4 carriage fit without grinding? Or no?

    6mm?

1/4” Carriage fits like a glove. Get Zinc or Stainless.

1/4 from home Depot, Lowe's, and Ace hardware.. all three were a HAIR too big and didn't fit.

I had to grind the head and the square neck a little.

About to head into my first Canadian winter with this rack. Any one with experience with these racks after snow? Id assume it would be pretty annoying to dig out the snow stuck in between the crossmembers. What kind of options are out there for covers? I got quoted a ridiculous price for a piece of aluminum sheet I intended to use as a cover.

I don’t mean to sound rude or anything, but why is that a big issue? I mean, I’d assume it’d fall off when driving and I dont see it being a major problem while driving or anything

Because that chunk of snow flies off your roof and smashes the windshield of the Kia behind you. Illegal to drive without clearing the snow from your vehicle in many states that normally deal with snow
