@LostHusker sorry to hear about your wife's troubles. Hard when it's you're wife's family cause sometimes you want to help and try your best to give advice but its ultimately up to her. Hope everything works out and she can put this behind her so she can heal from her father's passing. Good luck brother

We took the dogs into the vet today. The new one needs everything. The day we found her we had her scanned for a chip. No chip found. 2 weeks later (today) our normal vet scanned her and found a chip. Lady called me and said she had given the dog to some guy who ended being sent to Korea for a while and left the dog with his girlfriend. Original owner tried to contact the gf with no avail. Looks like she will be our big goofy bitch.

My wife chips ours herself. A scanner isn’t rocket science.

 

I was pretty surprised when they called and said there was one. I wonder if the one at outsmart was broken....

Regardless, I feel bad for the airmen who lost his pooch. I offered to take care of her until he returns, but that is 2 years away!

 

We got a cat that way after 9/11. Was dumped with a note. We took care of her and found homes for her kittens and she lived out her life with us.

 

Sad but true. After my grandfather went, family no one ever heard of came swooping in to grab whatever they could. Got nasty. Sorry to hear all that, Mark. All the best to you and yours, hopefully things work out for the better.
