A bunch of the guys I work with on the KC-46 used to work P-8 down in Seattle. From the sounds of it those things have a pretty impressive suite of recon systems on top of the fun offensive weapons. I mean who doesn't want a 737 with a weapons bay.

My old boss has a fairly new Lexus with a holographic type HUD that can only be seen from the drivers seat. Maybe they just decided to only put it on the more expensive cars as a selling feature.

Yeah, we have some crazy ISR platforms these days. Having seen some of the tech that the P-8 uses and even older stuff onboard things like Joint Rivet and JSTARS is pretty mind bending.

Lexus has all the "cutting edge" Toyota tech. It'll be standard on 6th gen Tacoma's.

Tomorrow is the first day of indoc at my new job. I sold my soul to the 135 life. We’ll see how the next year goes!

I did it for a while. I like to say that “I’m glad I did and I hope I never have to do it again.”

It’s actually a fun job (employer dependent of course) but it’s not great for a family life. It got me to the job I wanted, so give it your all and it can lead to a great career.

On-demand charter in a Citation Excel/XLS. Lots of time on-call, but I’m excited to try something new and get proper training and a consistent paycheck with benefits.
I hear a lot of guys say that. I think I’ll make out just fine since I have no wife/kids. It’s the same company I worked line service at for a few years, so I’m familiar with how the company operates and the people there. I always wanted to fly for them while I was working the line and now I’ve got the opportunity. I’m very happy!

I know nothing about them, but they look like fun. Is it the kind of job that can take you anywhere at anytime with downtime when you are there? Sounds like the thing to do while you're single.

You’re correct. I’m hoping to spend a lot of time flying to cool and different places

That looks really cool. I just fly for fun and a means to empty my pockets, but that looks exciting for a young person just starting out into a career.

That would be this one that I was fortunate enough to visit a few years ago.
