    Good afternoon TW!

I found a TRD Pro grill that someone near me is selling. I am wondering if it will work with my 2019 Toyota TSS? I attached a couple pictures and the part number. It is a genuine Toyota part and when I did research some sources say it will fit and some say it does not. It looks like the back of the grill has a slot for the sensor. I would just need to purchase the garnish I believe. Any help would be appreciated.

    Part Number: PT228-35170

You will need to get the cover piece for TSS.

Thank you! Any links to aftermarket ones that will work? Not looking to drop $200 + on a small garnish "protector"

I installed my sensor without the garnish and I got an error randomly for about a week and nothing since. Going to keep it as is for now and see what happens since Toyota jacked up the price on the OEM garnish

Mine's a 17 so no help there, but some people have had issues with aftermarket covers.

I bought mine when OEM was $45. Now they are $200 which is just greedy. Get an aftermarket, he'll get 4 aftermarket ones but don't feed the greed.

WOW! I paid $57 for the OEM piece, on Jun 30. Now it's $289+

I'm sure someone can send you links. The OEM one is not magic like some people think.

I've seen lots of comments on aftermarket ones. I kinda keep my eye on this since these are easy to steal, and now that they are $200+ I see this happening eventually.

The one below comes with Amazon guarantee for 30 days. Same day shipping...fck Toyota!

I guess they got tired of people buying aftermarket grills and just getting the garnish from them.

So now they created a market for aftermarket garnish

seriously, just install it on that grill and see if the error codes stop showing up in a week or 2. No idea if there are long term concerns because its exposed or covered in bug guts but for $250 i'm going to find out.

they do... but heres the kicker like most things made in china consistency through manufacturing is lacking. So yes you can get a good $20 garnish and the next one in the line could be a bad one.

send me a link to the garnish you ordered and let me know how it works out for you. give it a couple weeks if you get a trouble light, i think it needs time to re calibrate. good luck!
