    Just means it was played a lot, which is generally a good thing. I call that "broken in". ;)

    Well, I mean he did try and pass it off.
    He never indulged that information. And when untold him of the issues he said he never noticed they were that wore.

    I'm guessing this wasn't his personnel guitar and he was just flipping it.

    He asked for pics and I was happy to ablige.

    The issue was the pictures he posted were great and it looked like a good candidate for my collection. I had no reason to ask for fret pictures. All the other ones looked fantastic.

    My bad.

    He's been very punctual in returning my messages so I think this will turn out ok.

    My Luthier is a local legend, Dick Young.
    I called his home this morning and spoke with him. Going to try and get it to the shop tomorrow. I don't think there is much left of them to crown and polish but we'll see what he says.

    Btw, the guitar plays awesome. You don't even notice the frets being that bad.
    Intonation is spot on and the string height is amazingly low with zero buzz.

    The flake in it is amazing as well.

    It's a 35 year old guitar, I'd leave it alone if there's no buzz. Don't do anything you might regret. If it plays fine, leave it alone & be happy. But see what your luthier says. It's a Yapanese survivor, lol! :)

    I paid $375 for a full stainless steel refret on my '99 G&L Legacy. Then again, its a lifetime keeper guitar that I'll never part with, and the guy who did it was top notch.

    It's a great player but it doesn't fit into my collection with gnawed up frets. I'm going ahead with the install. Probably jumbo SS wire.

    I have something in the closet. Its blue, lol. I think its called Pre sonus Audiobox96 or something.
    Used it once and didnt like the sterile sound in Studio one. Its literally brand new from a few years ago. I think I also had trouble connecting it to win 10.
