so is it advised to run the jfr belt wrap with an rpm belt and 2.3? did you remove the hub to do further griding with your 2.3?

I didn't remove the hub I just did some angled cutting with the Dremel at the very edge of my snout. It turned out good and hasn't caused me any issues since.

I advise running an RPM belt and the Roush tensioner with a 2.3 setup. I don't advise an wrap mods unless you are running the oversized OE length 70.5" 5 rib RPM belt.

maybe i misunderstood. thought rpm didnt offer the correct length for a 2.5 or 2.3.

I’ll soon be running the JFR belt wrap mod with a stock belt size and a 2.7.

The RPM belt does not come in a 69.5" length which is the most ideal for a 2.5, but it does come in a 69" length which is perfect for the 2.3 pulley. You would have to cut off a rib, however.

following along it makes sense and why I was curious if the TRD was needed if you can swap it out or just lay the tune over it as you noted. Since I have the BD Mag tune on my already or go the route of techstream or second ECU to get the same result in the end.

Im running a 2.3 with the rpm belt and no wrap mods.. didnt have to remove the hub to grind it down further. I used a dremel as well like @12TRDTacoma and just took a little off at a time until the 2.3 fit good. I didnt want to remove the c-clip/dust seal thing, so i took my time

my main concern was metal shavings getting on the seal and shaft damaging things.

Good idea. I think I will do the same. 2.3 is ordered, methanol injection kit on hand, billet fuel rails and most of supporting parts are ready to go.

Nice! Which water/meth kit did you go with?

Glad to see others jumping on board with the 2.3. TBH, i been kinda scared to drive the truck lol. Worried 12lbs of boost might be too much.. then again im paranoid since ive had issues in the past
