Perhaps. I'm planning to use a mover for the main floor of the house, but I have all manner of shop equipment/tools/bicycles/truck parts that I'm not paying them to move if I can do it over time. My parents are going to be renting my current place from us, so it's not urgent to get cleared out immediately, but they'll want the space eventually, so I'm hoping to do it all in 1 big trip with a rental truck after the initial move, and pick at the odds and ends with the Taco and my utility trailer if necessary.

I think I may go Lariat next time. I like a few things better than my XLT (B&O sound, nicer cluster, auto 4x4, wiper deicers, LED headlights). Problem is, it's about $10k more for what I want and there are a few other things that I'd prefer on the XLT (cloth seats, manual tailgate handle, a real key)

If they'd do a better sound system on an XLT, I wouldn't even look at a Lariat to be honest, but even with the Kicker OEM sub mine isn't great. I didn't want to go tearing apart a brand new truck and modifying electronics to go aftermarket, either.

I like the 2018-2019 STX grill. Thought about buying one for my XLT but they're too expensive.

There's a lot in the STX that I'd miss. I have dual power heated seats, power rear window, heated mirrors, auto dimming rear-rive mirror, leather steering wheel, rear under-seat storage, the console shifter, bed lights, the power inverter, remote start, and reverse sensors. Granted, my XLT is about as loaded as you can get one since it's a 302a with sport appearance and the power equipment group. An STX is more compelling than a lower-tier XLT.

    That was me

It's worth it. I've had great results using that kit, and as @tacobell007 said, seal them with wax afterwards.

It's always nice to have more options. I was impressed with the sound system in the 2011 Lariat. And luckily (as far as electronic messing goes) my reverse camera is in the rearview mirror. No splicing needed!

I can't wait to get this thing. Bank is taking FOREVERRRRRR

My XLT is pretty stripped so I don't have a lot of those options, no leather wrapped steering wheel, no reverse sensors, no auto dim rear view, console, bed lights, power / heated seats, etc.
The leather wrapped steering wheel add was a quick, easy and surprisingly inexpensive upgrade. Surprisingly, the XL that I had for a rental had the rear camera in the rear view mirror and was an auto dimming mirror, both of my XLTs have the rear camera in the stereo and the rear view is not auto dimming. I think it's more common to find stripped down 250 and 350 XLTs than 150. Most of the 150 XLTs seem to have more options on them, at least the ones I looked at. So on the 250, the STX is a lot closer to my XLT than on my old 150.

Appears to be a 07 to 12? Superduty bed (f250/350) could be a diesel, hard to tell with the photo being blurry, also look like maybe XD wheels

Yeah. I think the riveted fender flares are after market? Even the bedside sticker seems non-standard

Bushwacker flares more than likely. Pretty sure those are the standard 4x4 stickers though

Definitely F250 or SRW F350 of the 2012 body style era, could be early 2000’s though because those tail lights have been around for a while but that style 4x4 sticker came about later on. Definitely crew cab based on the handle on the door.

I would never ever again (done it twice) pay for an upgraded stereo from factory. They are never good. They can be close, but they are never close to what you would pay for aftermarket. My taco had the premium system, and it's in the fucking dump now! Kept the head unit just in case though.

Wiper de-icers and LED lights are 100% worth it, however I've never had either on a car. I try not to be jealous of much, but I can't help myself when I see a car with wiper de-icers in the winter. Is there a mod for the taco anyone knows of for that?

On the Fords the head unit is so integrated with everything I wouldn't want to replace it. I suppose I could play with adding an amp and changing out speakers but I hate taking apart the interior of a brand new vehicle. My XLT with the factory sub is just barely good enough where I can live with it and not start changing more things. It would actually be really good if they got the crossover right, but I think it's too low an 8" sub. The door speakers could easily go a little lower and the sub could go a little higher and I think that would fix every complaint I have with it. That said, it's hidden in a spot that wouldn't otherwise be useful for storage so I guess there's a trade-off.

My Outbacks had wiper deicers and they were awesome. On my Tacoma, I could flick the stalk and at least get the wipers to sit on top of the defrost vent. On the Ford, I can't do that trick. I swapped all the rear white lights (plate, reverse, cargo) to LED on the F-150 but the headlights are still halogens. They're pretty good high beams, but the low beams are nearly useless. I've looked at pricing for LED replacement bulbs that will work alright with those housings, but they're expensive.

I've got a set, if you want them, Low and High beam bulbs. I had a set in my F150 and I pulled them when I traded it in so they wouldn't squawk about aftermarket equipment. They're 4x4TruckLED brand, work well, very bright. Come with the anti-flicker ballasts for the low beams (an extra $30 per), too, since one of my lows would make my truck randomly 'wink' at oncoming traffic.
I got a few flashes from other motorists, but I angled the headlights down very slightly and it stopped, and the light pattern was still way better than the stock halogens.

I was torn between the XLT302a package and a base optioned Lariat. The dealer had both sitting on the lot at the same time which was nice to compare the two. The only thing the lariat truck had optioned wise for it was the V8 and the 6 foot bed (full cab). For me the extra $80 per month wasn't worth the price just to get the few extra lariat items (leather, cooled seats, keyless entry etc).

I picked up the XLT with everything I wanted and not any extra things I didn't want/need. I got the V8, big fuel tank, sport package, 3.73 rear end and was very happy with that. Sticker price was pretty close but they had a better deal for the XLT's which helped cost wise.

Low Beam Head lights do suck, the 10 speed is a little to shift happy to get to the over drive gears and there is some small fitment issues/noises that bother me a little. But the pluses on this thing far out way it. The fact I get better MPG on the highway and same around town with a V8 is a little mind boggling.

I feel that XLT 302a is that ultimate sweet spot for the F150. Nice enough to take out on the town with the Mrs., road trips extremely well (heat seats for the win), but you don't feel bad hauling stuff around in it. Plus leather seats in the summer (even with the cooled option) def suck getting into.

What was yours, a 2016? I know the headlights changed from 16-18 but it seems the bulb is the same. What would you want for them?
