Was it the elocker itself that failed? We can never get the one in the 08 to work, even from a standstill in 4Lo like youre supposed to. Always a blinky light.

 

are you supposed to have the tranny in neutral as well, if its not MT

 

No the actuator works (barely) the side carrier bearings are toast. Thing was growling

 

Try the figure 8s like some people suggest (on dirt obviously)...although I've never had any issues getting mine to engage after a couple feet of driving straight.
