    Correct.

Sensors are upstream and downstream of the primary Cats. Cat "efficiency" is actually a calculation the ECM does by comparing readings between the two sensors. The secondary cats are not actually monitored, but according to the SM, if the primary cat efficiency is below threshold, the secondary cats "can be assumed" to be so as well.

I'll have the files posted for those within the next few days, just need to hear a bit more on 19800 feedback, so that I can build the files with the appropriate / well accepted throttle adjustments.

Please excuse my delay..Sept 20th became a member and ordered the tune. Since then I upgraded the laptop to windows 10 and have received the kit..no dongle. I had the software Toyota flash manger determine system ID and I emailed that in. While I wait for their response, please advise me as to what p5flash is...what are tactrix drivers? and how do I know if my 2018 tacoma has 04A60-AT, or 04A61-AT? They seem to overlap functionality..

    Thanks,

I'm new as well but a couple days in on my first flash.
I dont think you need the dongle(2017 if I recall, but unsure as I've never even seen a dongle in this case) the p5flash is what you open in order to read what ECU identity with your PC.
P5flash is also what you'll open in order to flash the new tune to your ECU. The tunes also correspond with the "identity" your read through p5flash. Ex:2018 auto, as I know it could be either of the 2 (04A60 or 04A61) different tunes are available per the identity, currently there are "Beta" tunes for 04A61 but not for 04A60.
Tactrix drivers are what allow the software and PC to recognize the cable used to communicate with your truck.
Hope I got this right and hope it helps.

Guess we're on the same boat, I wonder if those that received the handheld are the ones that work with the flash kit only vs the HH that come with a tune

I flashed 19800 91 today and cleared all the learned values and AT values and DTC, gave it a 20 mile run in traffic and the highway and the CEL did not come back so thats a good sign. The throttle response seems like its spot on, just the shifting is a bit off but thats because its not a 4.88 tune.

I checked all the flanges on the dirtydeeds exhaust today and didnt find any leaks, the O2 sensor cables were all plugged in and not damaged. I bet the sudden change in exhaust flow tripped the CEL initially, hopefully it doesnt come back.

So i did the 18000. Not sure how long im supposed to drive before i comment but screw it. Although it seems more smooth and stable, it feels like i lost a little pep to my step. Now with ect gone forever, can i get it back?

My tranny actually shifts fine since the tsb. Do you have to change the tranny? I'm just looking forward to the tune.

18000 is still a beta. ECT has not worked with any of the gear lock enabled beta tunes. Mat has stated that ECT will work as it does in OEM fashion with the final 2.0 release. Gear lock will be enabled by shifting the gear lever to "S" mode. I do not recall it being stated if both gear lock and non gear lock tunes will be available for the final 2.0 version.

The transmission adjustments are all encorporated - no way to opt out. Trust me when I say you'll want the changes. It is a drastic improvement over the TSB. A substantially greater improvement than even stock vs tsb.

Take a breath. It’s a beta tune for evaluation and feedback. ECT normal function will be included in the final version.

Nice, I just want the regular function ect mode and s-mode. Hopefully I'll know how it all works in the future.
