That might have been what I was thinking of, I thought they were flat tubs stacked up though. I might measure and see if one of those drawer systems will work.

Bumpers are different a bit yes cosmetically. Blinkers are totally different an because the grill was different they migh have a different top. Would be slight.

I think the fronts mount the same though on those years. Frame was the same. Been a while since I've taken off the 97.

has anybody attempted an internal frame coating procedure, that 'protective' paint inside is pure and total garbage

local Toyota dealers and corporate customer care are totally useless and basically ignorant in this matter, or just plain don't give a rats bloody ass

i just don't want to blunder and screw it up, i have been at this for probably six months now figuring out what's best to do

Yes. They were both in perfect condition and not brittle at all. Regardless, wrapped both during the VC gasket replacement with a high heat silicone tape...

Flashing doesn't mean pending, it means you're fucking up the catalytic converter with unburnt fuel because of a misfire. Also check the terminals on the backside of your DLC connector

A little truck for getting a stick lugnut... Put the other five on a bit too tight and it relieve the pressure of the stuck one.

I just got my Drivers side CV axle in...but looking at it where it meets the back of the spindle it seems like there should be something there to keep dirt and debris from getting into the bearing no? Or does this look correct?

    20191002_194346.jpg

Edit - looked at the old axle and it looks like the new one is missing the shield that should be on the end...good ol O'Reilleys.

Yeah I've got no choice really...you can see the wheel bearing is exposed back there, something tells me if I run it like this I'm going to end up with a much more expensive repair in no time. I just got that wheel bearing replaced last year too.

Weird, I’ve been through 10 and they’ve never made a mistake there. The axles are shit, but at least they always fit and had everything

Yeah it looked like it just cones into the spindle no protection to the bearing at all. I know them bears are $80 each and they have to be pressed out to.

Sucks but yeah nice catch. Those wheel bearings are sensitive enough as is, mud bath wouldn’t be good for em
