more frame rot pics i am curious about...
this hole behind the mount... how did it get there?
is this external or internal for where it all started.
I should've gotten way more pics this day but i was filthy squirming on the ground underneath

this was a single cab so probably a bit different than xtraCab

Water pooling inside the frame; sits there long enough that bad boy rusts right through the metal.

Honest question; why are you spending your free time inspecting the Taco's at your salvage yard?

 

That’s where they always start rusting first. The frame is just C channel there not boxed

 

Wanna buy some frame reenforcment plates

 

I'm about to order those weld on gussets shortly; they're pretty cheap at $38.

I'd only consider any reinforcement plates if I go outboard on my rear shocks.

 

The box kit has a cross bar to re locate under the bed.

 

What kit?

 

@Speedytech7 the hertz speakers or any focal 6.5" component speakers wont fit the tundra because of its severe lack in depth. damnit

Swap engine harnesses is probably a must. But not sure

 

Proper placement, sound staging, time alignment, and properly set up cross-overs will make any speakers sound good.

All starts with a head unit, or separate DSP.

I remember some headunits that didn't even have built-in amplification, which introduced less distortion to the whole setup.
