    I'd welcome a hybrid option.

Electric motors have so much torque man

Torque fill at 0 rpm would complement the 3.5L well indeed. Though knowing Toyota they may sacrifice the spare tire to stuff a battery pack there. The Prius Prime is like that, and that's a car designed from scratch to be a hybrid.

    Hey All,
Long time lurker, very occasional poster, just curios if any other Ontario rigs went through a frame replacement. Just got approved and awaiting schedule.

Hahaha I couldn’t stop laughing at the Bassroom setup beside the ice fishing tent. Never been ice fishing, but I’m sure a partially frozen turd is not what most people set out to catch.

@NeonHeights did, but was greatly complicated by his 6" drop bracket lift. What would you like to know?

That’s just the dealer though. Toyota apparently can’t bleed brakes in general. Remember when I lost brakes on the trail after getting my drums serviced.

Dealer is just getting together a parts list and awaiting schedule. Read some other threads about guys getting some additional work done. Ive taken off all skids and sliders, gonna take off my bumper/winch to avoid any complications. Any issues with aftermarket suspension during swaps?

mine was stock so no issues there, but they tried to get me to do my water pump both head gaskets and valve cover gaskets because they were 'bad' plus other assorted stuff i don't remember which was going to cost me $$ I told them no and no issues so far.

I had them do upper control arms and the changed my spark plugs while they had the motor out. Didnt charge labour for the arms but did for the plugs. I was very pleased with the work they did

Depends on the dealer and specific technician doing the work. If you have blocks, some will refuse to put them on the new frame. If there's special hardware that came with the aftermarket suspension and they are seized, complications could arise.

Dealers, as with most repair shops, make their money selling parts, while the labor just covers overhead. A warranty frame swap that ties up a lift and large amount of floor space for 3-4 days is not good business for the dealer, so they will likely try to upsell on a few things.
