I wish. Just have a week off between the old job and the new one. Was supposed to start on Monday next week but I negotiated my camping trip into the deal. Start on Tuesday instead. So short week for me too. Haha

 

Daytona lets you drive on the beach.

 

We love Indian Pass Campground. That’s where we’re heading tomorrow morning. It’s great because it’s at the end of the road and there’s access to the beach at the Pass all the way out to the gulf side. You can surf fish with no one around you for at least 400 yards. Then it’s only one person. the locals will drive their SxS’s on the beach and stop and talk to you.

 

Awesome! You know if they let you camp there too? I camped out on the beach in Corpus Christi, TX when I was stationed at Ft. Sam Houston and it was an awesome experience!

Make sure you also check out DoDaddy’s restaurant in PSJ. Awesome food and a great guy. Only bad thing I can say about PSJ is after sunset the bugs are horrible. Don’t get out near the water after dark. They will eat you alive and usually the only thing that works is a bug spray they have locally. We usually stay on the far back side next to the water. T-4 usually. We have C-6 right next to it this time. It’s a pull through spot. You have a camper or tent camping?

 

Looks like there only 4 places you can drive on the beach in FL now. Volusia County (Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach), Nassau County (Amelia Island), and St. John’s County (summer only).

 

It would be nice to back up like that and unload your gear, instead of hauling it from the parking lot!

@cubie Next weekend its supposed to be in the 50's at night. Been looking at camping out near lake guntersville? Heard there some pretty spots. Prob do some fishing too.

 

Lake Guntersville is a beautiful place. We used to camp at Buck's Pocket in the primitive camping area years ago. I heard they shut down the road to the primitive area due to washouts. Tacomas could make it down there though.

You could rent a spot right on the lake, camp and do some fishing. Let me know what yall decide on. We'll bring Cleo to keep Jasmine company!

 

My lady has camped with me for so long now, she doesn't need a bath house! lol If we bring the kids, we'll car camp at Guntersville, Little River Mouth Park, etc. If it's just me and her, we backpack camp.

Yeah, it has been hot as balls and it's gonna be the same for today. We used to camp during the summer all the time, we just got tired of getting ate up with chiggers every time we went! lol

I welcome cooler weather with open arms!

 

I still have my license and stayed on part time. I work for Coke now.

 

You’ll be good in any of the camping spots there then.

 

I cant wait for some cold weather with the RTT lol.

 

Got to admit their bath house is very clean at Indian Pass.
