i wont be able to join for a while guys. Dont have the suv any more. school just dropped me $750 and i still have yet to buy books. Looks like maybe next year some time I may be able to get back on the trails again.

Im gonna try my best to meet up with you guys and finally get a face with the names but I just want to make sure my truck is in proper working order before I off road it. Did the 5100s a while back and can't get rid of the take off shudder, but Im kinda getting used to it. But it sounds like I may have a wheel bearing going out and I need to confirm or deny it soon because I just ordered my tires for the fj rims and they are probably going to drown out any sounds other than tire noise(firestone destination m/t).

You'll be fine down at my place, there really isn't anything to difficuilt. I do have a few trails but they really aren't very long no very difficuilt.

True, if a Sante Fe can make it thru I have no doubt your Tacoma could with ease. Probably in 4x2.

Good deal, I'm new to this off road stuff but got a taste of it in my F150 and loved it. Sold the Ford to get a more capable off road truck and because of the fuel economy. I should be able to go most any of the Saturday dates pending work. I'll check my Saturday work schedule tomorrow then cut and paste my available dates. Would it be cool with you if I brought my buddy with his lifted cherokee down?

 

Awesome! I dont have any problem with your buddy coming down, a friend of mine has a Jeep as well and might meet up with us. Just post your dates when you can, then the more that people post I will get a better idea on what dates work for everyone.

Actually he has 2 Jeeps, the Red Wrangler and a Cherokee. He is in the process of fixing all the rust on the Wrangler so he hasn't driven it since he came down. He probably wont have it ready so I think he will take the Cherokee.

 

ah sweet. did he ever get that steering box taken care of?

 

Yeah where the steering box mounted to the frame was rusting and he had to replace that section of the frame then remount it.
