    Nice! I briefly tried some old stuff I had laying around, 1 15inch sub in a large ported box on a 1k rms amp, and it was awesome, except the roof of the tacoma is very weak and flexy. When I turned it up all I could hear was the metal of the roof flapping around. Needs a serious amount of deadener material and possibly even some makeshift bracing.

    Installed my front and rear dash cameras.
    I made this more difficult than necessary because I wanted to use the go-pro mount. I spent a bit of time modifying the camera mount that came with the camera to fit the go-pro front mount.
    Then I modified the rear camera in order to use the suction cup mount that originally was intended for the front camera. (Reasoning that it would be easy to remove for cleaning or repositioning, etc.).
    The rear camera wire is pretty easy to hide in the molding and plugs into the front camera so both record all the time whenever the truck is powered on.
    Also for simplicity I used this cord that plugs into the back of the mirror for power.

    Anyhow, I'm happy with the way it turned out.

    Hahaha :D I'm much more tamed than I used to be. Used to actually compete in spl competitions so I'm familiar with what these builds are capable of. Had 4 15's on 9000 watts rms in a wall build, hit 157db. Pretty fun but its a huge money pit and pretty dang extreme.

    Currently planning a modest build for the tacoma, 1 12 ported on 1k watts.

    Meh, it's a hobby, like a lot of other things. Doesn't bother me, I'm not forced to participate.

    What does bother me is the kid in the ricer that drives by at 10, 11, 12pm and has the windows of my home rattling from 3 blocks away. Seems like pointless young male aggression to me and leaves me wondering "What in the hell did I ever do to you to deserve this?".

    There's actually a law on the books in Illinois (not enforced, that I'm aware of) that a car sound system should not be audible from more than 50 feet away from the vehicle. Fifty feet? Really? BWAHAHAHAHAHA...

    <old guy rant off>

    Yea agreed, noise ordinance is definitely a thing. I'm not sure why those guys roll through neighborhoods blasting it like that. I think some of them may not realize just how far bass soundwaves travel, but others probably just don't care. Best to just keep it down in residential areas and let er rip on the highways.

    Take it from someone who didn't protect their hearing when they should have, not doing so will cost you down the road. You might want to reconsider letting her rip going down that highway.
    You won't appreciate just how important good hearing is until you actually lose it.
    Not judging, just some friendly advice.
    Good luck, and again welcome to the herd! :hattip:
