Yea agreed, noise ordinance is definitely a thing. I'm not sure why those guys roll through neighborhoods blasting it like that. I think some of them may not realize just how far bass soundwaves travel, but others probably just don't care. Best to just keep it down in residential areas and let er rip on the highways.

Take it from someone who didn't protect their hearing when they should have, not doing so will cost you down the road. You might want to reconsider letting her rip going down that highway.
You won't appreciate just how important good hearing is until you actually lose it.
Not judging, just some friendly advice.
Good luck, and again welcome to the herd! :hattip:

What's up Johnston County? Shared some of your same issues. Keep the rails and use them to mount the d rings like i did. Works great and gives you more options down the road. Used two knock off rigid lights for bed lights. Wired to my cargo light. On with door open, fob unlock button, or cargo light switch.20190924_184502.jpg 20190924_184406.jpg 20190628_194942.jpg

Amen to that....I go pick up my hearing aids next week, not so much from hearing loss (although there is that), but more to reduce the effects of my tinnitus from deeming my hearing invincible through all the gunfire/artillery/every other weapons system that I neglected to protect my hearing from.

No judgement taken! It's great advice. Protect your hearing folks! That goes for anything loud, concerts, shooting guns, loud power tools and yard work(mowers).

I could add to this but I suppose the audio stuff deserves it's own thread.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
QFT. I sat near a squealing VFD for the HVAC system in our building at work for around 10 years. I didn't pay much attention to it, it was no big deal. Now I've got tinnitus. I really miss being able to hear silence. Sad part was there no reason for it. I contacted the building manager, some HVAC guys came out and pressed some buttons to tweak the drive, noise gone.

Yeah, at my first duty station I was in an artillery unit. Some close calls with mines and rockets and mortars, too. Now I can't imagine voluntarily subjecting my earballs to high decibels. I still like to rock, just at a reasonable volume.

Yup, that'll do it. Been shooting literally since I could walk although nothing as large as you and I am paying for it now. Thats what kept me out of the service, couldn't get passed the hearing booth. On the up side I couldn't tell you if my Tacoma drones and I'll save money on sound deadening and speaker upgrades. Too many downsides to list.
On another matter, I don't recall ever thanking you for your service so I'd like to take the opportunity to say thank you now! :oldglory:
Have a great day Bud and good luck with that tinnitus.

I've been accused of having selective hearing, mostly from my wife.

Not gonna lie, love mine. Wife only gets frustrated with me not understanding her when I’m not wearing them. I’ve had them for about four years now. You’ll like the improvement once you figure out the adjustments.

Save the paperwork from your hearing test, that's what I did! Now I really can have selective hearing and get away with it. Would I ever do such a thing? :fingerscrossed:No, never!

You know how many significant mods I can do for the cost of a pair of hearing aids for my level of hearing loss? :D
