Haha different strokes for different folks. Most of my coworkers love their HOAs.

I love my lawless neighborhood. RVs, boats, and rogue trashcans everywhere. Have one neighbor a few doors down that has an old forklift as his lawn ornament. The chaos brings a unique charm to the place.

I have a 15 DCSB and a 16 T4R in my 2 car garage with room to spare for tool box, work bench and bikes. I can measure it when I get home tonight.

You are going to want 18’ wide by 20’ deep as a minimum. My garage door opening is 17’ wide. The garage interior is 23’Wx25’D.

A wide and deep garage, the one item on my house wish (must have) list. I can’t fathom leaving my car outside year round. From cats to hail etc, etc. Hopefully you find a place that can accommodate you!

I park this every day in my 2 car garage built in 83-84. I cant remember the dimensions but the garage is around 21 feet long (backing in is easier) i also have a 2' deep loading bench/shop bench at the end so its very tight. MVIMG_20190715_201405.jpg

I have another brick two car garage on the other driveway offshoot. The one pictured has three feet on each side of the vehicles with shelving. There’s five feet in front of the vehicles with cabinets, freezer, etc.

So, the measurements I took would be a comfortable minimum for the vehicles alone. Storage for your stuff needs to be added to that.

I can imagine not wanting vehicles parked on the street, however I would cross that neighborhood off my list of places to live pretty quick with not allowing overnight driveway parking.

Thank you for all of the inputs guys!! So this is what I think I am gonna do.

When I find a hosue, I will back my truck in, and also request the real estate agent/broker to back her/his whatever vehicle in and observe it from there :D:D. The garage will be dedicated 100% just for parking.

You guys have been pretty helpful, thanks again!

My house was built in 1927. I have a detached '2 car garage'. You could probably fit a couple 4 wheelers in it. I'm not sure I've ever measured the I.D. of it.
If I moved all the things out of one side, I might be able to get the truck in and close the door, but I'm talking less than a foot clearance at each end. Never mind getting a door open. It was clearly built as a 1 car then the second added later.

All you with clean vehicles, clean and organized garages need a damn hobby :D I've got tools, truck stuff, and good ol KY clay dirt all over my floor and shelves. LOVE IT! Hell with an HOA! My castle, my rules! I'll yell at the neighbors and contact code enforcement on my own.
