This one has the standard Paccar mx-13 in-line 6 paired with the Allison 6 speed automatic transmission. Of the 10 T880’s Ive worked on, only one had a manual transmission and only one had the Cummins 14.9 liter. Now that truck was a beast! Unfortunately, I only get to drive them into the shop for tank and deck fit-up and back out again when ready for paint. Some lucky trucker will get to off-road this baby and get paid to do so.

I just touched down so he’s either late or was early, we were not delayed in the end.

Just signed the paperwork on my refi, looks like the official number is $115.37‬ per month saved on interest!! :bananadance::bananadance::bananadance:

Wasn't quite as high as the initial numbers looked but damn, I'll still take it.

$115 a month in interest? $41,000+ in interest SAVINGS over 30 years? On a house in Maricopa?

I might be drunk, but I might not be

When your interest rate drops from 4.875% to 3.499% you're now at less than 3/4 the rate you were paying so yeah, big interest reduction math checks out. :fistbump:

More realistically, if I take into account the fact that I am restarting the clock from 29 back to 30 years remaining, it's "only" about $27,000 total savings if you just consider that first year's worth of payments a loss. I know it doesn't work quite that way because I was paying some principal but that much math is just not my cup of tea right now. :D

Now you can afford to throw more money at the principal and pay it off early! look at how much interest you can save if you had a 15 year mtg.

The wife absolutely loved it. I enjoyed driving it too. It was easy to get in and out of, great visibility, great power. She wanted a new one but didn't like the 3rd row. It was clumsy and lost a lot of cargo room. When we'd make the shine runs up to WA every year, that room is always needed.

Just took the kiddo to breakfast, auto zone for a new drain pan and to harbor freight for a transmission jack. She is the best little co-pilot.

Don't remember who on here suggested Sonora Cycles, but I finally stopped by their North Phoenix location on Tuesday. Was looking at the Giant Trance, but he gave me the heads up on the Ibis Ripmo. Getting the itch pretty bad to get back out there. [IMG]

Went to Joes Real BBQ in Gilbert toady. It was good for main stream bbq, but needed more smoke and spice. The kids would love it.

I always compare what either my brothers or myself make at home. Obviously I've dialed my taste in. But sometimes I like to sample others
