Man, sorry you're struggling with crappy people on top of the other stuff you got goin' on. I hate paying people to do work on my stuff, for this reason. You think you can trust someone and then they kick over your dog bowl...

Well, we got on the subject while recording past surgeries/injuries. He said he had an injury to the same discs. So I asked him about "any ringing in your ears? " and he said yes, as a matter of fact I did. I told him about a guy where I work that told me he had it too before his surgery. This doc said he never thought the two were connected. He said he had started an oral OTC medication, Lipo Flavonoid based med and it seemed to reduce the tinnitus. He said after the surgery though it was gone.

I bought drops and pills at Walmart. Each say they take a couple weeks for any results and they are not guaranteed. The pills were almost $30, the drops were under $9.

Right now, typing this it's at about a 4 on a 1-10 scale, the volume. That is about average. There are some instances it is as low as 1 or 2 but as soon as I concentrate on it the volume increases. Some times it is as high as a 7 or 8.

No matter when, the tone/pitch/sound to me is just like a dog whistle with equal amounts of air and tone sounds, just constant.

It will keep me awake at nights but the worst part is that it makes me easily agitated, short tempered and aggressive. My switch use to be a toggle with a little resistance, now it's motion activated.

I am definitely going to revisit the specialist and seriously consider the operation. In addition to the tinnitus, it causes a tingling in my arms only when I tilt my head way back, like working under the truck, or when my head is on the pillow and tilts back. Since this occurred I've also had a numbness from the mid point of my right arm on the inside down to my thumb. Sort of like a circulatory issue, at about 25% of what it feels like if an extremity were to fall asleep.

I tried physical therapy for a couple weeks right after but gave up because it wasn't doing anything.

I'll keep you guys posted on the surgery. Oh, this doc I recently spoke to had his surgery done by the same specialist I saw originally. I should add, originally when the procedure was explained I stopped listening at "we'll replace your damaged discs with those from a cadaver".........I was like fu-uuuck that. But this doc I spoke to the other day said they just use little pieces and that eventually your cells will replace them with new based on your own dna. So my fears of bizarre visions and memories are lessened. I already eat a lot of ethnic foods foods so.......

    :D

Naw I get that, can't hear tone of voice over text. And It's crazy to see the growth man. We had the first house in our neighborhood bar the demo and obviously things we're gonna develop but I don't think anyone could've seen this big of a boom in Austin's population coming. At least I try to tell myself that every time i'm baking in the sun going no where on Mopac :bananadead::bananadead::bananadead:

I've been to Austin several times and I'm always amazed at how many people there are in a fairly small radius. My college roommate was an Austinite but moved out to Pflugerville to get away from the congestion.

Shit, even Pflugerville is getting eaten by Austin now. Like the DFW where they're basically just black holing everything between Dallas and Fort worth, Austin is basically absorbing everything around it feels like :bananadead::bananadead: soon it'll be ASMRR, Austin Sam Marcos Round Rock.

Yup. I'm in Burleson just south of Ft.Worth. We used to drive 25 minutes to get to anything... AND WE LIKED IT! Now you have to drive 20 minutes south to get away from everything.

We have a newish Toyota dealership in town, so there's a ton of 3rd gens Tacos rolling around. Honestly, there's so many of them that I'm a little "Meh" about them now. I think it's cooler to see a 1st or 2nd gen.

    Hi Jay,
I know you and Cody are not insulting each other or being mean, or any negativity bla bla bla, I'm just reaching out as friend to share my experiences that I've observed over the past couple of years. I'm also not filling in for anyone and again, just reaching out as a heads up.

Sure, there are code of conduct rules (aka COC, CC) rules and for the most part all content should always remain safe for minors and for work. With that said I've seen and participated in some serious infractions. Not much to worry about there. I'm no angel either.

However there are definitely sore subjects that will quickly lead to warnings or worse. Due to the nature of the site as a whole and the positive image that is promoted to the general public, one topic that is taboo is any type of outlaw Offroad activity. The forum will definitely not accept any such instances and I've even seen where even people joking around (which I am sure you were) are ostracized or reprimanded.

Like I said though, from one friend to another, I just didn't want to see this happen to you.
    :fistbump:

Political content is equally as touchy. Basically I stay away from either.

Thanks for the heads up man. I would never seriously recommend for someone to knowingly, or otherwise, trespass on private property. It really is a fast way to get shot at. Like I said earlier, I'm the new guy, and just like I'm getting to know all of you, you're all getting to know me and who I am and what I stand for. I think, for the most part, we're all on the same page and interested in the same things. If not, I wouldn't be here. I appreciate the feedback and good looking out.

Nope, I never got any negative impression and yep just looking out. We're tight in here that way.

And a little about me to speed things up. I love to party and have a good time, I joke around a lot, thick skinned and no snowflake. Right now I'm in between trucks. It's a temporary situation. One of these days the wife and I are going to make our way out there to meet as many TTC members as possible. I've known the OP Chad since I joined the forum and later was invited to join the TTC family. To me they all are just that, my family, and I love and respect them all as such. I know they feel the same way about me. We will do anything we can possibly do within our means for each other for nothing more than the joy it brings us.

I look forward to getting to know you better and making you part of my TTC life as well.

    :fistbump:
