Good thinkinng, id start with the bushing as well. However, while youre replacing that and you have the cv axle out, you can spin the rotors and see if it makes a gritty noise, or if its smooth. Its easier to troubleshoot this on a prerunner since they dont have cv's. But since youre gonna have the cv out to do the bushing, itd be a great time to check that while its apart

Yes, ECGS built my 3rd in my prerunner. I bought my truetrac for my red truck from them too, but had Chris set them up. If you get a complete third, it is super easy to swap em out on the back one. The front diff is a little more involved

Also i should note that i got a leaky ARB locker seal, and they were very good with helping me through the warranty process. They sent me another built 3rd and i sent mine back so i wouldnt have any down time. They just took a refundable deposit since they'd have two 3rds with ARBs and 4.88s. I wouldnt hesitate to buy from them again

Thanks guys, that's exactly what I was going to ask about.
I've not pulled a third member (insert joke here) to swap them but it looks like it's basically remove/replace aside from the front being a bit more labor intensive.

When tightening down the rear diff bolts, make sure you torque them to spec. I didnt do that and my rear diff was leaking for like a week lol. Tightened it back down and put some locktite on it and its been good since. Moral of the story, just use your common sense that i dont have

Edit: to my defense, before i did this i read several horror stories about snapping the studs off of the rear axle housing, so thats why i took it easy

    I helped Chris barely:rofl:
The 3rd is easy just make sure you don’t let the axles touch or graze the outer rear seal you’ll have to pull that axle out later on.:anonymous:

Im really surprised i didnt screw up my rear axle seals when i replaced mine. I know several times the axles touched the seals

Still going strong though! Ill probably swap em when it needs rear brakes and has to come apart, just to be safe

    Gooooooood to know!

Guess I need to start pinching pennies for the regear next. Wish that freaking crawl box would hurry its ass up :pout:
All these extra shifters floating around my garage are starting to make me itchy.

Lucky feller of course I have butter fingers and can’t do anything without incurring damage.
Do you really feel you need a re-gear I’ve rode in Joshs truck with his meats and it seemed fine.

I'm the same way. I always say if there's a way to fuck something up, I'm gonna find it.

I think it would make a difference with street drivability. Even with a manual it's anemic. In 6th on the highway, it really likes about 2500 RPM for best MPG. Problem is that's about 84-85 MPH for me right now.
