So had a Bakflip G2 on my Ram, so had to add it on to my new Taco, since I had such good luck with it prior. Only thing I am bummed about is that you lose the side rails, but I can add on their D-Ring tie downs down the road if I need to..

    Brought it home from work...

Installed! Had to tweak it a bit after this pic to line it up 100% up to par..

Reason why I love this cover, and try my best to sell it over any other folding cover at work, don't lose a 1/3rd of the bed when you have it on!
    20151020_171344_zpsbpmejren_eaeb46b6a6905ba659308f99827b68501aa5e249.jpg

    Stepped away..

And my bed lights on under it.. (Install: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...tch-tailgate-trigger-pin-and-override.392652/)

Definitely happy with how it fits again! I have to wait for it to rain to make sure it's 100% good, or spray it with a hose....

One issue I did have was that it was missing the prop rods when I got it, but I called Bak Induestries and they overnighted them to me.. Talk about badass customer service.

Also their video instructions show you have to take off the front bed rail, which I didn't have to, and it shows that it has buckle straps and it doesnt. Their paper instructions also show it has gas struts holding it up, which it doesn't. I knew both of those weren't true, so it didn't bother me.

I really like the look of the Bakflip but losing the rails is a deal breaker for me. Thanks OP for pointing that out.

They do make tie downs that work with their bolts. You could even trim some of it for use of rail between two bolting points too I am sure.

Maybe I can live with that. Thanks Joey.

I installed a G4 Elite last few weeks. I'm happy. Tie downs fit fine, and it's easy to remove if needed, 4 bolts.

Is it true you have to remove the back cab rail and leave it off?

Late to this, but from my research (May be wrong), i believe that the fitment of the g2 on a 2nd gen and 3rd gen are different. I have seen/read that gen 3 must relocate the bed rails and possibly remove the rail by the bulkhead. I just installed a g2 on my 2010 and it snapped right into the factory bed rail!
